Have you been enjoying Overwatch 2
See title. Interested to see the responses to this since we have a few OW fans in the community. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Has it been good for you? How different has your experience been with 5v5 compared to 6v6? Is there something you miss? Have you quit playing it entirely?

Haven’t played Overwatch in years. My nephew played Overwatch 2 a bit but doesn’t seem to like it as much as the original.

I've got ppl in 1 of 2 parties. Either they absolutely loved the changes, or they dropped the game completely within the first couple weeks. Personally, I don't like it as much as the original either.

I was sort of curious at one point about their plans to have a full blown PvE campaign mode or the like so you could just play the game solo cooperatively against bots but that never really seems to have gotten into it either.

no, activision-blizzard can go straight to hell
never playing anything those bastards have touched, f2p or not

Yeah. I've been playing since overwatch 1 launch day and i love the gameplay of overwatch 2. It is painful how expensive it is to get cosmetics now but i'd rather get new content every 9 weeks and have no lootboxes instead of have overwatch 1 stagnant forever.
I prefer 5v5 because i find it much easier to process what's happening now, plus tanks feel like juggernauts which i love.
I do think the balance took a big hit, but i'm having more fun than i did with Overwatch 1.
PvE is coming out next year. They released the PvP early because overwatch 1 was kinda dying.

If you want the TL;DR, summed up nicely by @OrangeBear. From the rumor mill, there is a much longer and juicer story about the internal challenges and change in direction for OW2 after the events of Kaplan's departure from the company.

For players like us, who more than likely have a majority of the cosmetics collected after years of playing, not as big deal, but still a lot to be rightfully wary of. Those prices are pretty hefty, especially during what i'd call global inflation. Makes me glad I spent all that time grinding for cosmetics. While the fanbase may be split on the new direction, i'm sure almost everyone can agree that it's good to see the game get new content after such a long hiatus. Whether it was worth the wait...well...i'll let the OW community argue with themselves on that :B. Played much of the WoTB event so far? How you likin it?

Oh yeah i've played the new pve mission quite a few times. It's nice i like it. I hope we get something like that every halloween event that would be great.

I won't touch anything made by them either.

I've been having a blast with OW 2. It honestly doesn't feel much different being 5v5 now. Tanks are a lot more fun to play. I feel like I can take on the whole team if I have a pocket healer playing as Orisa. Healing feels a bit rough in the game now but as long as you have a half way decent team its not so bad. The new hero Kiriko is so cool. Her cinematic announcement was amazing and she's super fun to play. I've played a few matches as Junker Queen and she's pretty fun but takes some getting used to. I haven't tried Sojourn yet but playing against her I can tell she is a really good dps hero. I completed the battle pass a few days ago and unlocked the mythic Genji skin. I don't really play him but the skin is insanely epic. It makes me excited to see what mythic skins they will make for other characters in the future. All in all, the game is super fun.

They already got me. I'm in too deep.

Love 'em or hate 'em, there's no denying they've released the bangers over the years.

Yea, def a lot of great games they've had their fingerprints on in someway or another. Side tangent, but they're up there with Midway, Bandai, Namco (pre-merger), THQ, and Atlus for me in terms of putting out some consistently great titles over their lifetime. I can't even look at True Crime without getting the theme song immediately stuck in my head and I haven't played that game in at least over a decade.

Odd question, but who was your main in ow1? Mine was Roadhog in the later years, but Moira will always be my first true main. Roadhog is still pretty solid, so will probably still play him.

Thanks for asking 😄
Originally torbjorn but after role queue released i started to play more support and tank, and so i started to main Sigma. He's very strong in overwatch 2 i think so that's cool.

Hell yea. I'm a fan of Mr. Long Toes too...😂. It's usually either him or Orisa if my team needs a good shield. I fw Winston too cuz I like making widows mad and hearing them flame in chat. Their tears fuel me.

I’ve been enjoying the gameplay since Bastion finally got the update i’ve been waiting for and Junkerqueen lets me go all in without feeling horrible about doing it
If only the monetization wasn’t the worst thing i’ve seen in my entire life

Junkerqueen is pretty nutty. I'm really liking all the new characters so far. Whoever decided to make Bastion mobile...plz stop >:(.

Whoever decided to make bastion mobile needs a pay raise

How could someone think up such cosmic horror and unleash it on the world. The oppressor is even more oppressive.

It hasn't made its way back into part of the main game rotation just yet, but the gameplay itself is still OW.
It has been alright. Now how I view OW2 is totally different, but the game does still have that charm in gameplay.

Haven’t played it yet as Valorant is my main FPS game.

A bunch of people in one of my discord servers play that one a lot. I haven't tried it myself. I just know they all love/hate that game with a passion.

I can definitely relate to them lol. Valorant, very much like DBD, can be easily hatable at times.
