Not trying anymore on certain maps.
I'm an m1 killer and I'm playing on Badham, Meat Plant, Eryie, Mothers Dwelling those type of maps I've lost the will to even try. The maps are so unfair to some of the killers on this roster its a joke. Do your gens and leave or farm if you want. I'm not even going to try.
Game needs serious map tweaking, I'm not even going to explain myself. All killers know what I'm talking about.

Just learn how to pressure gens bro! You got a massive buff in 6.1.0 in the form of .2 second faster pallet breaking and weapon cooldown. You should be 4king easy every game!!!
22 -
Killer is now easy mode, you're being handed 4k's thanks to the hundreds of survivor nerfs and thousands of killer buffs including rapid pallet destroying perfect for the game map. Skill issue.

I'm pretty sure @Veinslay is being sarcastic, but I honestly can't tell about @Roaroftime
23 -
You mean the 30 pallets all within 10-15 meters of eachother lol.
11 -
Haha I enjoyed this.
2 -
Dbd will get worse and worse by the years just because they keep adding ######### maps after ######### maps, its a lost cause.
6 -
I have the same felling, and it sucks ass
2 -
*sigh* I am too frigging tired to respond to this oldish and boring claim time and time again.
Chances are that you're dead set in your opinion and nothing me dirty killer main could say would sway your opinion or even gave you pause in your vindictive rage.
So go on.
10 -
I know what you're talking about, you hit them once and they miraculously find pallet after pallet to save them every single time. By the time you down them 2-3 gens are gone, and if you chase somebody else they just pre-run to some super safe structure. The way M1 killers are now and the way these maps are.. this game is indeed a lost cause.
3 -
Pretty much this. It's just EXHAUSTING to play like this. I thought games are supposed to be fun lmao
2 -
Yes, it is and I feel ya. But just play Pyramid Head and just enjoy a fun and chill ride on The Game with suevivors continually locked in animation, cursing their lifes decisions to bring a Puzzle Piece Offering.
2 -
Those maps are a problem for killers with low-average mobility, and they are, in my opinion, the main reason why people resort to camp in these areas
4 -
Yeah dude just chase the first survivor that will pre drop most pallets/live at a main building, realize you need to leave, then have the next survivor and so on do the same exact thing.
4 -
Maps are the biggest thing that need fixing at the moment.

I would like to know what everybody thinks about Dead Dawg Saloon.
For me, a survivor main, is a horrible designed map. A tiny shoebox where the RNG can screw you so much as to let the killer be able to watch 3/4 gens from the same position.
A map where every Terror radius build hits like a truck. Agi-star nurse, agi-star wesker, coulro anti healing doctor.
God i hate this map
2 -
I don't really try on Garden of Bullsh1t or the Red forest maps.
God those maps make me wanna break my controller into lego bits.
3 -
Besides the issues you mentioned, Dead Dog is one of the rare maps that both sides enjoy and have a fair chance of winning. In polls in routinely scores pretty high all around the board and when players can chose a map for certain events to have a higher chance you can bet that Dead Dog gets chosen.
It is the only map with a breakable wall in the shack and many breakable walls actually benefit the killer ... or hurt then when not broken down. All walls In the main building are basically a time tax that the killer has to pay better sooner then later.
The map is small, but it's bushes are notorious for hiding suevivors of all size, shape or form. The gallows and its hinterlands are notorious to form easily a vert strong 3-gen, but can just as easily be infiltrated.
The waterpump has a guaranteed totem spot that is a favorite healing hideout, but so knows the killer. Upstairs in the closed off room is another spot that 3/4 of the time spawns a totem.

Yup

Sadly they are a new one of the few extremely biased people and are probably absolute serious. (They also had some funny tinfoil hat worthy conspiracy comments about some changes two weeks ago, iirc)
But it makes for great comedy when the sarcasm from @Veinslay is directly followed up by something like that.
2 -
Yh dead dawg saloon is 👌 my only issue is the 3 gen cluster that often spawns near the gallows. It's a bit too easy to 3 gen that one, and survs will often forget about it. Send one of them further along the map near where basement entrance sometimes spawns behind saloon and it's a perfect map.

I think this is part of why this map is so well designed. It has all this things going that can tip the balance in one sides favor or the other. You can't possible cover all your bases all the time, so eventually someone will make mistakes, and that's when the other side will pull ahead.
"The shack and main building are very safe", but the killer can devote time to break all the walls down.
"The gallow and hinterlands form a very strong 3 gen", but when the killer is distracted its easy for a single operative to sneak in.
"The totem at the water tower is an awesome, secluded healing spot", but should you really boon it a 4th time, when the kille4 obviously knows about it?
"The bushes are perfect to immerse oneself", but if the killer hits random bushes you are a sitting duck.
Etc. etc. :)

Don't forget eyrie of crows and garden of pain. Those maps just make me see blood and i become the worst killer i can be. usually im nice and fair but give me badham or one of those 2 and i'll become what everyone hates. Or i sightsee the whole match look at steel bushes and corners.
2 -
I have to admit I have loaded into a map as killer, cursed my foul RNG luck and gone and made a coffee etc and left them to it.
These days I am more likely to just mess around and not care about the outcome and just try to get at least a few points out of it
2 -
Blessed be low-ish mmr, where busted maps are quite manageable. Some would dare say... balanced ! =)
4 -
He's basically sluzzy 2.0 lol. Just ignore his posts. I have never seen them add anything meaningful to a conversation.
If you think 6.1.0 made survivor so unplayable you are just bad, I get getting bad teammates. Solo queue is only hampered by a lack of efficiency, but if you really think even 75% of game's are pure solo queue you are incorrect. I am ever so slightly biased towards Blight(not killer) but you don't even think before revealing your biased to survivor.
5 -
I hate it because all survivor's hide in bushes that even with low graphics you can't see anyone isn't bright. Boring map.
0 -
I hate Dead Dawg as killer for most of the roster since its basically just main building looping. From most gens you can get to main building if u pre run and waste a good while for the killer. Unless its like Nurse or Blight of course.
0 -
Really not a fan of it on either side. There's just so much empty space and the structures that aren't the shed or main building feel thrown together.
0 -
Autohaven and some MacMillan maps have become more killer sided since they introduced 2 garbage tiles into the rng. Autohaven was already bad with half of the gens spawning next to a tree and a rock, with the nearest pallet 30 meters away.
1 -
I just go afk whenever it's Eyrie or Garden. ESPECIALLY if there was a map offering
Gideon I can still play, but not too serious.
I could play on Dead Dawg Saloon 24/7 and never get bored, but I ran out of offerings :(
1 -
I'm fine with most maps depending on the killer, but in my experience Meat Plant and Grim Pantry are the worst for most killer's.
0 -
Sweet, thank you. I may need pallet stuns for a challenge, so if I do the "Come this way" gesture, I need you to stand in the hitbox
1 -
I feel such seething hatred for the reworked Haddonfield. The double-window house(s) are stupid.
1 -
You're not gonna get any better if you don't try
0 -
Then... maybe take a break and not try so hard?
0 -
You should definetely try my winrate is over 60% in those maps and I play mostly m1 killers. But facing good swf is nightmare on those maps.
0 -
he's just joking
0 -
Yeah, theirs nothing to get better when their are 10 linked loops all with God pallets and a true infinite thrown in for funsies.
Fix the maps and people won't feel hopeless.
2 -
It's actually .3 seconds on weapon cooldown. It's way to generous, how can Killers even lose these days smh.
1 -
The game as dredge is a new level of misery if you aren't willing to hard tunnel.
0 -
Many maps are absolute dogshit. I've been a long time huntress main and I gave up the second that one of those shrubs on eyrie blocked my hatchet for no reason. I switched to spirit and I have yet to lose my 4k streak. I still do well with huntress, but seeing things like that just makes me lose interest in the match instantly.
0 -
You can still try, why wouldn't you? All you're doing is ruining 4 other people's game when they probably didn't want those maps either, not everyone is out to make the killer miserable
0 -
In what world do survivors not want free escapes because the entire map is a jungle gym and is an auto loss for any non nurse /blight / artist killer?
1 -
To further elaborate, not only do survivors WANT to be on these maps, they seem to be bringing map offerings for them more and more
0 -
The ones that want balanced maps, Ik, CRAZY but we do in fact exist
0 -
Well, idk what to tell you, I personally hate all map offerings, and if they would reverse it so the offerings would guaranteed you wouldn't go there, I'd have a couple I'd always want to throw in, but again, not everyone wants to kill the killer
0 -
There is definitely imbalance on certain maps. For the most part though, I just accept it and try my best as killer.
My main gripe is definitely map offerings. If a half decent team knows various tile sets and how to run them on specific maps, you are just going to have a bad time. I was sent to Haddonfield last night. I happened to be playing Bubba, and despite Bamboozle, there was just nothing I could really do. For every vault I tried to block, their was one or two other safe vaults to compensate. I still tried, but only ended up with 4-5 hooks before the match was over.
Immediately after that, I was put into another match that had two Ormond offerings. It was largely the same, but it was more of a "ridiculous amount of safe pallets" situation. Not nearly as bad as my previous match, as I still managed to get at least a 2k. Still though, there was little else I could do. I had to break more chases than I would've liked, simply because I knew if I stayed on them, I would lose generators too fast.
I just wish map offerings had a lower percent chance to send you to the selected map, rather than a near guarantee. On top of that, the amount of sac wards to map offerings is atrocious.

I haven't touched a M1 killer in months. If you aren't willing to hard tunnel and camp with the sweatiest builds, which I find to be very boring, you're just up to a miserable time on most maps with these killers. Thinking about it, the only killer below A tier that I still play is Deathslinger.
This game really needs a map overhaul like the one they did in April 2020. I'd honestly take reverting all killer buffs and survivor nerfs in 6.1.0 for a 25% size reduction in all maps and a fix to main buildings.
0 -
Yup this is it right here. I had to start making a rule of, more then 1 pallet without a hit leave and chase someone else. That is so BORING! Especially when each survivor you engage chase with runs to safe pallets. Your only chance is to create a few dead zones and eat pallets to the head so you can start playing with 1 or 2 gens left. It's absurd.
