Some clarity on exclusives such as "Time-limited" and "Deep Rift" items?
I have been out of the loop, so confused with these terms and what they mean?! Time-limited means never returning? Deep Rift has items beyond level 70 that will never return? As in forever never returning exclusives? It is definitively never returning or more word games that imply that but could return? Thanks.

Time-limited so far means that they are available for a limited time on special occasions. E.g. the Halloween-Outfits which were time-limited this year will be available next year.
Deep Rift-Items seem to be gone for good after the Rift ends. But those are "only" Recolors.

Agreed, BHVR needs to clarify this. Suddenly introducing time-limited items when they explicitly stated they would no longer do such things in an official announcement is more than a bit shady

As far as we can tell, limited cosmetics are new (or old and rereleased) cycling content that will be available once per year, and deep rift outfits are recolors of outfits introduced in that rift that will never come back in any form after the rift closes. However, we only just had our first run of limited and deep rift cosmetics, so things may be subject to change or misunderstood (especially on part of the deep rift.) BHVR has not been very clear or forthcoming regarding this.
It is interesting BHVR suddenly pivoted on its decision regarding exclusives, especially when they were citing a desire not to do legacy again as a reason they wouldn't give cosmetics for the rollover prestige reward.

I said "seem to be gone for good". I dont know for sure. But no, there is nothing saying that they will be available or wont be available.

It says they are exclusive to the Rift here. No Rift has ever returned nor has there been an announcement that past ones will become available again.

Hm, that kinda contradicts their previous statement that all cosmetics will be available later in the store?
but they also said that last years Halloween tome outfits were exclusive too iirc and this year they were available in the shop. So who knows.

I dont think that they said that last years Halloween-Outfits will be exclusive, but that they will appear in the store when it is appropiate, so earliest the following Halloween. It is new that they are now time-exclusive as well.
And thx for the Quote, I have not seen it in the article I have read. Personally, I dont mind it too much, since those Outfits from Tier 71 onwards are recolors. And I also wanted some things above Tier 70, since the Rift was done quite early for me most of the time.

They won't clarify it lmao. If they did, and said anything other than 'we will be releasing time-limited new cosmetics that won't be coming back', then people would be able to call it a lie when they eventually do that (which they absolutely will). By keeping the whole thing in abeyance, they can have their defenders saying right now "it'll be back next year!!' and when they never do come back next year, "they never said they would always come back!!"

They have literally already done this with the regular Rift items. They have never said that everything will return. Just that most items will return after a minimum of six months. Most is not the same as all. And they have removed even that information when they redesigned the website (or at the very least I can't find it anymore).

Yeah, they want to keep things ambiguous and leave the door open or cracked for the possibility of returning stuff. Other games have specific terms with actual meanings, so expectations are set according, and it is clear whether or not something will return. The Deep Rift items could be forever exclusives (never returning). If that's the case, they should be clear that these items will never return. Limiting them to The Rift means The Rift is the only acquisition method, but that could be any future Rift. They could introduce future bonus tiers (i.e., 90-100) featuring past Deep Rift exclusives. That statement only tells us that the Deep Rift items will never be sold or available outside of The Rift. It doesn't specify that these items will never return in a future Rift.
More clear wording would be "Progress beyond Tier 70 of the Archives and earn new Deep Rift Outfits, variations of new Outfits exclusive to that specific Rift."

So it looks like there is still no clarity on Deep Rift Exclusives.

I am also convinced that the Deep Rift recolors are a one time only thing and won't come back to the shop after one year.
Maaaaybe, after some rifts we will have a special Rift Event where we can acquire blue colored base outfits for dome characters and get the chance to buy old deep rift outfits for auric cells.
