Why is Hex: Huntress Lullaby a totem perk?
Why is it a totem perk?
Survivors get a notification, when the killer use this perk.
And they can destroy it.
So maybe it shouldnt be a Hex perk?
Or survivors shouldnt get a notification?
Or both?
PS: Sry, for my bad english.

your english is fine dont worry, but I have asked the same question, this hex is way to weak, sounds good on paper, actually people hit skill checks sometimes without listening for the ting and really this just wastes the perk, or just gen tap

But its a totem perk.
And i must hook people.
So i better use Hex:Devour Hope.1 -
Because it can be really powerful against a lot of people.
It would be hell doing generators if no one could stop it. Especially at 5 tokens.
It does need to be harder to find, though, as do all totems.
No notifications might be fair. They will get the picture eventually.
All in all totems are made to slow the game down.
A hard to find one, like Lullaby, or Ruin can easily change the pace of the game.
An easy to find one is a bad joke.2 -

So i better use Hex:Devour Hope.well, pig its nice on due to the perk causing a delay and jigsaw boxes having sonic timed skill checks, but devour nope gets destroyed within seconds, ruin is a better choice between the two

But its not rly strong vs skilled people.
The killer must hook 5 persons.
And then the survivor must concentrate more, when they do gens or jigsaw boxes.
And its a totem perk.
I would make that lullaby isnt a totem perk.
But this perk doesnt effect healing actions.
Only gens and jigsaw boxes.0 -

Ruin gets destroyed rly fast,too.
So totem perks are rly risky.
When survivor destroy them, the killer wasted a perk slot.
When survivors doesnt destroy them, they have a rly hard time.
But lullaby isnt so strong.
The killer must hook 5 people.
And then survivors must more concentrate on gens.
I dont waste a perk slot for it.
Because its rly risky, but isnt rly strong.0 -
Honestly it shouldn't even be a Hex. To compensate and incentivize better game play the tokens should be awarded how Hex devour hope is, so you get them when someone is taken off the hook and you're far enough away. Not a hex so it's permanent but to actually get the tokens it means you've basically left every single hook and let them save them for free. Seems fair since you're risking all of your pressure by leaving every time and just hoping you find someone.

Unless you are an absolute potato of a killer, you will find someone on a generator. And the killer is supposed to be pressuring generators, not people who just got off the hook and are not working towards their escape.

Then you got a perk like ""Safe the best for Last".0 -

The perk design isnt so bad.
Its just feel like a prototyp perk.
So some details are missing.
Maybe this perk should be like "Safe the bst for last".0 -

By found I am also including chased and downed. Only absolute potatoes of survivors are getting downed fast enough to keep your tempo. In an ideal world your idea sounds nice, but that's not how it works. You bound off those hooks for tempo.

Ruin should not be on that build. What they should have instead should be Caulrophobia (Or now Iron Maiden)
Yeah Clownphobia is strong on Doc

I love the design behind Hex: Lullaby, I wish it was just a token based Perk where you generate tokens like Play With Your Food, Fire Up, Save The Best For Last. May be too complicated but wish it would target each Survivor separately, generate tokens but you lose then when hooking said Survivor?
I feel like it's a little too slow to gain any momentum and unlike most other Hex Perks, where you can get some millage out of em before it gets cleansed, Lullaby ends up a bit lower on the totem pole imo0 -

Perhaps I'm in the minority here but I often keep the totem alive if they are using Huntress Lullaby simply because it makes the boring skilless "skill checks" actually fun.

The reworked "Safe the best 4 Last" is rly nice designed and a good perk.
I hope they will rework Lullaby, too.1 -

Woooow.
When im survivor and i play vs pig.
Then i want die, because a reverse beartraps.
I just like it too much.0 -
I would even prefer a slight power nerf while taking away the hex effect.

Depends on how good you are at skill checks, what map it is, and how quickly the killer can hook survivors. Just the other night it was The Legion with lullaby on the swamp. He got five hooks by the time there was 3 gens left. He played well and nobody found the totem because it was hidden well. One person escaped (spoiler: It wasn’t me).0
-
I really enjoy this totem but it does have a skill cap and good Survivors get through it. I think having a fake skill check noise would help, have the normal delay but also have random fake skill check noises to confuse players.

It should be a hex perk but survivors shouldnt be able to get any kind of notification till the 3rd hook.
PS: honestly, any decent survivor should be able to tell if killer is running HL after the first hook.1 -
it should be tied to your TR instead of being a hex making it VERY FUN to face when against a doctor

When the survivors are in the TR, they cant hear skillchecks.

I made a discussion about this long time ago, here is the discussion
I got my answer, It would be an insane buff for the doc with addons, and unnerving presence.
The totem is still weak af, but being not a hex totem shouldn't be the solution. I think that the perk needs an entire rework to be viable and balanced.

I think you are right.
But this perk is pretty nice for pig, if it wouldnt be a hex perk.0 -

But what good would it do the Huntress then? Lets not forget that it is her perk.
Maybe this?

When the survivors arent in the TR, they can hear skillchecks, but they get "fake" skillchecks sound, too.
Would this be nice on Huntress?0 -

In fact most people would probably run when they hear it since she can launch a long range attack.
I can't think ofnone good reason anyone would stay in it unless she were distracted.0 -

I can't imagine why it would be. Huntress isn't particularly known for using her terror radius as a tool.

Maybe add skill checks that only regress if failed? Let Huntress Lullaby synergize with this change to make it even more of an obstacle?
Make small game far more important in finding the new hard to find totems?
I would hate dealing with a 5 token huntress lullaby I couldn't turn off personally, and I'm sure a ton of newbs would, too. It would either be game ending, or create a kot of gamers who are unusually good at hitting checks.
But yeah, huntress needs a way to slow the game down, and she doesn't have one anywhere near as strong as doctor's, so linking it to terror radius would hurt Huntress.0 -

Hide totems better, and maybe make them slightly harder to break?

Well it already gets tokens. Every hook adds one.
I'm not sure how much you want to carry over to it being like STBFL, though.
A normal perk? Like I said I'm sorta against it. I play both sides. I'd love it if it didn't suck when I played killer, and at the same time, as a survivor, I feel like it's pretty game ending for most, not all, if there was no way to turn it off.
Definitely not if it were obsession based towards getting tokens.
I've seen the hex totem at it's worst and best.0 -

I think it would work better as an obsession perk tbh, like delay the noise notifications worse as the obsession is injured/hooked, then remove them when the obsession is killed.
