ETA on audio fix?

Was wondering how long it might be? It's really bad right now.

If I play without high end headphones (stock speakers) it's unnoticable, but I won't get subtle surround sound cues as I would with surround sound.

If I play with high end headphones (PC), the music and environmental sfx (burning barrels, finished gens) is so loud I can't hear survivor breathing, footsteps, etc.

It makes combating stealth play almost impossible since we rely so much on sound.

It was acknowledged in another thread, but I was wondering if there was an eta? As is now, I can play a little, but certainly not at the level I was at before.

Fyi: for PC I play with hd headphones. For PS4 I play with built in surround sound in living room (with lights out its freaking AMAZING...well...WAS amazing). Both are terrible after patch.

    Yikes! I hope not! I really enjoy using sound cues and it's so hard to utilize those now....makes it much harder and less enjoyable to play.

    Most likely next quarter patch... Next year basically. Last time they updated the engine which caused audio issues it took them a good 4 months to fix it.

    Yeah she is the one I noticed it with the most. I play doc most of the time and luckily I don't need the sound cues as much for him....but spirit...ugh.

    Oh God seriously!? I must not have been playing much during that time because that blows! Hard!

    @Attackfrog in the dev stream from last Thursday, they stated that they are aware of the issues, and are rebalancing all of the audio channels. I wouldn’t expect it to be ready before the end of the year. They might include something in the upcoming emergency patch, but I wouldn’t expect too much.

    Ah that helps, thank you (not being sarcastic). It's not what I want to hear but it seems like the consensus is that it will be a while.

    That's a killer issue. Expect a solution in 4-6 months. 
    If it doesn't get solved by then, it will become a feature.

    Going to lower rank has helped me level my other killer, maybe I should start aiming for BBQ.

    It's the perfect solution to the "nurse needs nerfs" issue!

    Instead of nerfing nurse (which no killer wants!), They just buff survivors by increasing their lag! Bam! Instant survivor teleport buff and easy counter to nurse teleport!

    Wait...now I think I need to start a thread calling for survivor lag/teleport nerfs...

    Yeah I'm a noob with Nurse but im doing ok. Getting 3k/hatch in most of my games now.

    But man the laggy ones are hard to hit. I assume this is something you have to adjust for? It's harder to find exactly where to teleport when they're phasing in and out like the spirit does.

    Hopefully the dedicated servers help with this.
