Self-care buff
I think from your part was really stupid and unnecessary to touch this perk and make it useless. Why everything in this game you touch when you nerf you only destroy ? Like its a lot of perks that need buffs or reworks .
In my case i think self -care speed must be 75% minimum . Its a perk that you are usuing for yourself thats all .Stop thinking that its imbalanced or something else .
I even dont know how you consider balance in game that you even dont know how to play on your streams .

They kinda dug themselves in a hole for this one. They buff self-care then suddenly CoH is back in meta permanently but if you nerf CoH lower than 50% then it just becomes a very situational perk.

'When you nerf, you destroy'.
Welcome to playing killer, basically.
That said, 75% would be absurd. Put it back to 50%, that was fine.
Also...what?
To be fair, so long as it stacks with other healing stuff, CoH is, was and will always be in the meta. I'd say I see it in at least 50% of my games, probably slightly more.

No stacking buffs just normal speed 70-75 % its not that hard .

Too strong.
50% was fine.
35% is pathetic.

The old self care speed was fine imo, just because something is popular doesn't mean it needs nerfing into the ground.

Even then, its quite absurd. 75% healing speed means a good survivor can heal in a chase. The 50% made it possible with Botany Knowledge(BK being 33% back then), but even then it was quite difficult. Heck, old Botany Knowledge and a Medkit was pretty much needed for that with maybe desperate measures. But 75%, even without stacking, means you can progress at any point you can stand still at.
People who are able to trigger an exhaustion perk twice in 1 chase are people who can heal themselves up with 75% speed.
And in all honesty, 35% isnt bad on its own. The reason why 35% is bad is because of Mangled affecting the speed. If the 35% speed was flat, ignoring all anti-healing debuffs, it would actually be really good again.

well it had a reason for being too popular, don't you think?

Because, especially for newer survivors that can't reliably find totems/don't have CoH, it gives a lot more self sufficiency in solo queue. Honestly, I still see it a lot - only now, I know that it's almost better to let that survivor go heal because it takes approximately forever.
75% would be silly. 50% was absolutely fine.

well every newer survivor becomes not a new survivor after a while right? We can't balance a game over new people, who aren't playing yet, or just started. Only on the current playerbase and how they use things.

Shrug. I was just saying why Self Care is popular - and you didn't just see it on newbies either. Now - it's an actual newbie trap, in that you'd be better off with a brown medkit than an entire perk slot ability.

this is the problem with the Devs
they keep nerfing these perks because in their heads they think oh synergy derp derp we cant do that it will be to strong
its like they are to lazy to code diminishing returns so they dont stack beyond a certain point.

God I hate self care as a perk. You have to be super careful with it. Heal too fast and it really cripples killers. Too slow and it's just a timewaster for survivors. Tbh i think the speed is fine right now. Dedicating 2 perks, self care and botany knowledge to being able to self heal at a reasonable speed is fine. It's a mad strong thing to be able to do and using 2 perk slots for that is fine to me.
It just makes me mad as survivor when you see all the noobs running around self healing and leaving you to go to second stage in solo q. It just effectively cripples your team because you spend so long sitting there playing with yourself instead of doing something actually useful.
Hence why I basically never play solo q. And anyone who runs it in SWF with me will be strongly advised not to.

Nerf CoH to 35% and buff Self Care to 40-45%. Baffling how they would nerf Self Care but not touch CoH honestly. I get that Self Care with buffed Botany would be too strong but now it's just worthless without it.

i honestly believe it was so popular because new players think it's the best opinion. I genuinely wonder what % of self use is yellow/green tier compared to other perks.

What's wrong with CoH becoming a situational perk? At the moment, it's vastly OP and completely ruins the hit & run killer playstyle so it actively encourages tunnelling, which survivors constantly complain about.

75%? That's literally as efficient as current CoH self heals. So... no. No thank you.

Well I believe all perks should have their uses despite my distain towards CoH. But since they use the same healing speeds as the self care perk they cant just buff or nerf one because it makes the other just a downgrade.
