Pain Resonance nerf reverted unintentionally(?)
So is BHVR never going to acknowledge the fact that Pain Res makes survivors scream again? Wasn't that taken out because Pain Res was never meant to he a jack of all trades perk? I know it doesn't show the "scream bubble" or whatever you'd call the notification but it was a nerfed for a very good reason as I mentioned. Sure Overcharge Eruption and Call of Brine are far more problematic but Pain Resonance is still as annoying as ever.

IIRC, the scream was added back in because if it paired with merciless storm, you’d get those rapid-fire skillchecks for way too long. So now they just force it to interrupt you with a scream.

The scream is global though all it tells you is a survivor is on any gen in the map. The reasoning for the revert is weird because it works with dms again but that doesn't matter since it's really not that good when compared to something like eruption call of brine overcharge. It's really on good on mobility killers as well.

I think it was intentional but it just wasn't communicated properly that it was.

They should've just kept it, as pain res and dead mans does the worst case scenario anyway, props to anyone that could keep hitting those skillchecks though, imo they should've given merciless a timer instead

Granted, the wording seems to imply that the scream no longer plays. It's just the notification bubble that's gone (from the og version, anyway)

I think the scream is irrelevant, unless the killer has fearmonger ehy on earth would you let pain res trigger while you are on that gen, you literally get a warning to avoid it before it happens.

Yeah that's what i mean i think that it's intended that the scream is supposed to play but it was communicated incorrectly internally and then externally. Cuz surely they would have fixed it by now if they did not intend for it to work this way.

This is why they added the scream back in, but I still think it was a stupid change. Merciless needed/needs a cap on the total time or number of checks.
You can still get 'way too long' merciless storm checks with Jolt for the exact same reason. And there will likely be future perks that have the same interaction. They just added one that can with Vittorio if you're feeling masochistic.
