Survivor literally body blocked me from using the exit gate switch. I ended up dying.
I had a Leon who kept flash blinding me during the game repeatedly. At the end of the game he just stood in front of the exit gate lever t-bagging and blocking me from opening the exit gate. He wouldn't open it. I ended up dying because I couldn't get out on time. Why is it a mechanic in the game to allow a survivor to body block another survivor from opening the exit gates? Why do they have that power over me? If he was just going to troll, I should have been able to pull the lever myself. And it was basically impossible to report them.

I suppose that survivor hitboxes overlapping would create a lot more troubles than it could fix.
There is also the fact that bunch of survivors panicking could interfere with one another does make sense.
It's a shame that this can also be used in such a disgusting way

I've never had it happen before in 2000 plus hours of game play. To be honest, I had never even considered it was a possibility until it just happened. I pretty sure i am not the first or last person he will do it to. I hope this sort of meme doesn't catch on with trolls because it is certainly an easy way to ruin other survivors games when the endgame timer is running down. I am not even sure it is reportable, and it is too hard to report things.

It's actually reportable. As you describe it it would be griefing and working with the killer.
However I don't think a lot of players start a match ready to start recording at the press of a button and sadly reporting without video evidence won't go anywhere.
