Hmm.
A few questions:
- When is the last time you played (that killer)?
- How long were you in queue?
- Was the lobby full when you joined, or did people trickle in?

I also find that, especially on Killer, evening and weekends are particularly bad when the Killer has the incentive bonus.
I can only assume that at those times there is a massive influx of survivors, particularly SWF, and as such, Killer games become almost hopeless unless you can hold your own at that high level.
Play off-peak and you face more reasonable survivors, and the odd potato who sacrifices themselves at your feet.

I'd honestly play against the sweatiest SWF in the world than have ANOTHER sodding game where someone goes AFK in a snowman, goes AFK in a locker, stealths around the map to be BM while avoiding crows, suicides or DCs.

This is my experience as well. During peaks times (evenings in US Eastern time zone for me), there are too many survivors and not enough killers, so to make the matchmaking not take 10 minutes or more for survivors, the matchmaking code says “F### it, you just get matched with the next survivor team in line, regardless of your MMR”. This is why brand new players are getting matched with semi-pro players with thousands of hours.
Survivor-to-killer ratio seems to be more balanced during off-peak hours, so my matchmaking experience has been much better during those times. You’re also less likely to get matched against SWF teams during this times.

3 means you're probably in a lobby that someone dodged, which breaks the MMR system as it basically grabs whoever is available.
