Ps4 premium subscription for dead by daylight

I know I have to pay a monthly ps4 subscription to play online games. But if I were to actually buy the actual game/CD for DBD on ps4 would I still have to pay monthly to play online? Or is that already built in?

You still have to pay for PS+ to be able to play online.
But the base PS+ is enough.
