I had DLC from my brother through steam family access . The brother removed access and the characters disappeared. If I buy these characters myself, will they come back with past progress or will I have to pump them again?

    I don't know, but I think they might still have past progress, just be unavailable to play.

    I had a friend sharing his library with me a couple of years ago. I used to play some games he owned when he was not connected, particularly Darkest Dungeon.

    When we had a falling out and removed our mutual access to the other's library, I bought Darkest Dungeon, and was surprised to see that it still had all my progress from when I was playing from my friend's library.

    So maybe you don't have access anymore because you don't own the DLC, but it might have saved your progress in the files.

    It might work differently with DbD, but I hope not for you =)
