New Character brief lore
New character concept an ancient Wolof born in the royal class named Yatu that uses 2 Kpinga throwing knives tied to a rope that he can reel back along the ground if he misses, if stuck he lets the rope go and the rope can be followed to track down the survivor. Yatu was born into the Royal house of the Wolof tribe,he has a daughter that is quite rebellious and falls in love with a traveling Zande warrior, he is very displeased but loves his daughter that he accepts her pleas. Yatu now disgraced, and ridiculed by his peers and predecessors is now a very angry and a depressed man. He devises a plan to murder the Zande man "the outsider they called him", in Zande tradition when a man marries he presents a Kpinga(hunga munga or mambelle) a mulit pronged throwing knife usually the size of a hatchet To the father. So he gave the ceremonial kpinga to one of the local blacksmiths and had him secretly forge a crude duplicate of the weapon. Mean While he began to get to know the outsider, he made sure that he paraded around his new son in law so the public can see. The people quietly mocked him but he ignored them, and desquised his hatred with smiles and laughter. The blacksmith was done and beckoned for Yatu that night, he proudly presents the weapon quietly. Surprised by the works of the blacksmith he hesitated but for there to be no lose ends he plunged the weapon into the blacksmiths forehead. He cleans off the weapon and head to his quarters wherehe is soppose to meet with his new son in law. The two have drinks and share stories of there past triumphs, and the night moves fast it is time for his son in law to leave he say his good byes and began to head out. This was Yatu's moment he follows the drunkard Zande he waits till he gets to a dark place in the village and hurls the the duplicate kpinga in the back of his head and leaves it in him. The next day the body was found Yatu's daughter is devastated the town even was confused who would do such a thing. They went to Yatu and he told the people, the night prior the zande spoke of him being hunted by his fellow tribesman it was the reason he was here. The weapon used for the murder was quite obvious that it was a foreign assailant. He faked mourned for the people and even strapped the ceremonial kpinga on his waist. But he did not know that the zande warrior was from a bloodline of witches and sorcery. He kept his grandmother's eye on a necklace that he covered with decorative beads and fur that covered the eye. It was in this practice the ancestors can always see and protect the wearer. That night the grandmother cursed Yatu for she saw everything. His daughter wore the necklace to remember her husband. Yatu began seeing the dead Zande everywhere he went, he even started seeing the blacksmith. They would laugh at him and say smart remarks mimicking the people around them. Yatu would go into tantrums and yell at the apparitions the people of the village began thinking he was mad. And once a gain began mocking him, his anger was once again reinvigorated. One night he was awoken by a knock on his quarters he stood up and there in his doorway was the zande laughing at him, and in a rage he threw the ceremonial Kpinga at the apparition, the body dropped wincing in agony and the veil was lifted it was his daughter. Sorrow and pain engulfed Yatu he rushed to his daughter wide eyed and gasping for life. He realized all of his actions led to this moment and when she takes her last breath his soul becomes empty. He decides to kill everyone around him, but the moment he makes this decision the entity takes him. A new servant to the void.
