Do you recommend DBD on the switch?

I have DBD on my Xbox with a few days in the game, and I know cross progression isn't coming anytime soon, but I thought about getting it for my switch as well just to play casually while laying in bed. Anyone who has it on the switch or knows much about it, do you recommend it? Why or why not?

I have it on switch, and it's pretty good. I only really got it since I don't have another console to play it on. Sometimes it lags and the frame rate will dip though, but I think that's normal on all other platforms. I don't ever play my switch when it's undocked though, so I'm not the best person to ask when it comes to how it runs when on the go. I would only recommend the switch version if someone has nothing else to play it on, but you've got an Xbox so I wouldn't recommend it for you. The other versions of the game are simply just better, it's not like the switch version is horrible or anything, it just worse than the other version. Hope this helps!

There's no in-game brightness/gamma slider, so in handheld mode some of the maps are way, way too dark to see on even in a pitch black room. I mostly play docked, in part because of that and also because I find handheld Switch to be really uncomfortable on my hands. If you only play survivor, the game is... passable. The low framerate and frame drops can make even normal skill checks rather difficult. Killer is practically unplayable.

I'm constantly complaining about Switch performance on the forums. I play both killer and survivor, so the Switch performance is very upsetting to me. I never would have bought it if I'd experienced it beforehand and known that cross-progression was a pipe dream.

Absolutely not. The game runs at less than 15 fps and there’s huge input lag.

I play on the Switch. I have it on PS5 as well, and it plays 100x better on that console, but being able to play it anywhere is a plus. We just got back from a week's holiday and I took my handheld Switch so I could claim the daily log in rewards. Didn't really play much due to lack of time, but it's convenient to stick in my handbag and play anywhere.

I've only ever played it on Switch as I don't own a gaming PC or another console so I don't know any different, really.

I (generally) enjoy my experience on Switch but a word of caution: things such as looping and flashlight blinds are much more difficult to achieve on Switch owing to the controls and sensitivity of the joystick. Equally, the graphics aren't quite as good and certain maps are very dark and difficult to play on.

I enjoy it, though, and never had any major issues.

I would not recommend dbd switch to "casually play in bed"

The game looks extremely dark because they had to remove like, most of the lighting for performance. The survivors look very bad and playing killer is just extremely clunky and frustrating. Also the game crashes frequently, usually after a few matches. If DBD switch was my only option i would still play it but whenever i am away from my PC and have my switch playing dbd on the switch just doesn't really interest me because i have no progression and it's just not very smooth.
