Why does Pyramid head even have torment

No matter how many times I face him if someone is tormented he just hooks them and done isn't the purpose of the torment to remove any perks that assist survivors because they get caged. But no matter what he never cages or is it because you can kill by hand which I see every pyramid head tunnel that tormented survivor. Simple just remove tormented if the survivor is hooked or caged because pyramid head is just a tunneling killer now.

It already removes torment from cage.

You don't cage since the cage ends up being on the opposite side of the map.

Survivors being forced to run to a camp-able hook is better than delivering a tormented survivor straight to someone working on a gen.

Edit: Killing someone by your own hand is pretty much the goal. There are zero addons that incentivize caging.

I always felt like Torment could do a little more and be easier to apply. For starters his m2 attack should apply Torment itself. This rewards good PH’s but not bad ones.

If they get tormented and they haven't been hooked yet you want to:

Hook -> tunnel -> cage (avoid DS flashlight saves sabos bodyblocks) -> tunnel -> hook -> out of the game

Because you get into situations where caging someone means you can then instantly start another chase without needing to slug, progressing hook states and forcing another survivor to run to the other side of the map (if they're not there, anyway) and massively increasing pressure. Usually, hooks are better, but not always.

Plus, being able to go from taking 14 seconds to kill someone (pick up, walk to hook, hook animation) to a 2 second animation on the spot is incredibly helpful. Final Judgement is significantly more useful than Cages in most situations.

You should be happy he's choosing to camp hook and not camp cage.

A PH who understands the cage can camp it and instantly down you after you get uncaged because you don't get borrowed time. The cage will teleport away if he stands right in front of it, but the radius for this happening is only 5 meters. His powers range is 8m without addons, so it's easy to measure this.

The cage basically tries to spawn as far away from him as possible and each map has fixed locations where it can spawn. So with experience you can figure it out.

Your Torment gets removed when you are sent to a Cage. Freeing another Survivor from a Cage also removes Torment from you. So if you play Altruistic you should be fine.

Also Cages teleport whenever Pyramid Head sits too close for too long, so normally it is best to loop around the Cage to force a teleport and safe un-Cage.
