Eruption or Pain Resonance

Which one do you feel like is more unfair / too easy to use as killer?

I post this because I mainly play killer, although I also play survivor. But I don't like eruption because a 3 gen becomes unbearable to defend, mainly because of how easy/boring it is. I like PR because at least I feel like I deserve that gen regression (I hate that hooks tend to spawn so randomly, but whatever)

And when I play as survivor man, killers going full COB, Overcharge & Eruption is boring as hell. Doing gens feels even more tedious than ever.

So my question is: what do you guys like to use / play against?

Eruption I LOVE KICKING GENS

Using Eruption is easy street compared to Pain Resonance. One perk you have to work for, the other you just spam kick gens.

That being said, I use Eruption because of how effective it is compared to Pain Res

I dont use regression perks since I hate them when playing as survivor, but if I had to suddenly start using them I would go pain resonance and maybe a lesser regression perk like overcharge. Because A.) Pain Res has counters and B.) Overcharge is not nearly as bad as the other gen kicking perks.

Eruption I LOVE KICKING GENS

Eruption is more consistent since you're not depending on scourge hook spawns. The thing is, SWFs make Eruption much weaker, so in that scenario I do prefer Pain Resonance.

Regardless, I enjoy both perks and use them on the same build all the time.

I just hate the rng of scourge hooks too much. Sometimes you get good ones and some times you barely get any value at all.

so... i haven't voted yet because i dont use either 🤷🏻‍♂️ i like brutal strength, fired up, and jolt. call me weird. i'll leave this here so i can come back to this post after testing both perks.

yeah... no. would rather use jolt. of the three. if i'm forced to use only the two i'd use pain resonance since basement hooks are scourge and basements are easy bait zones with certain builds. i don't have time to kick 7 gens and chase a survivor around for 30 seconds just to make them explode 1 time. would rather focus the area i'm in and if it's a map like meat factory i'll be more effective than with either perk using jolt.

I occasionally use Pain Res, but I'm really a dyed in the wool, gen kicking Overcharge stalwart. If I'm running Ghostface without the OP Driver's License, I might pop it on.

Eruption wasn't really my style, and if a SWF runs me ragged it kinda kills it's value.
