Do people use "awesome" as a sort of better upvote, or is it the new LOL. I feel left out man.

    Generally, I use Vote Up for stuff I agree with, and Awesome for funny/stuff I like. As for Awesome being the new LOL (in a negative way), I doubt that. Its too positive for that.
