Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Does anyone know a use for this addon?

Prophylactic Amulet is one of Plague's Uncommon addons:

Now, I'm not exactly sure what benefit this would have to the Plague player. Maybe if they wanted to ignore the Pools entirely and wait for them to fill up to trigger the auto Corrupt Purge? I don't know.

Any ideas for niche uses that I might've missed?

I use it on no-corrupt plague. Combine it with hematite seal, puke on gens and let survivors give you corrupt all the time for free.

The build is brutal, spirit fury, enduring and thanatophobia. Of course I haven't used it since thanat was deleted. Probably doesn't work anymore.

If we recall right, since there are less pools survivors cleansing often means you're going to get red puke more often and as a possible bonus the pesky corner pools may not show up.

Yeah, it's a nerf addon. The idea is that survivors will give you your power by themselves and you can play it passively, but that's not as good as choosing when to use it - you only get a fourth of your usual Corrupt Purges, and even if you're grabbing them manually, the lower number makes it easier for survivors to reset your fountains and waste your potential anyway. Might be okay if you end up on Swamp, Plague's personal hell zone, but other than that, you're better off staying far away from that addon.
