Pop had a duration nerf because "killers had too much time"

Pop and Hex Ruin´s big garbage midas touch happened later.

Pop is still fine, on about 80% or more progress its as potent as it always was, and anything from 50%+ is still decent regression.

The only reason it dropped out of mass use is because Eruption was busted OP.

    Ruin is just sad though.

You have no idea how I miss Pop. It was my favourite perk and now it is just hot garbage.

Ruin is now a detrimental perk to your gameplay, so it is now on the same level of Predator. I never liked using Ruin (mainly because it was already underwhelming before the nerf) so I didn't care much about.

Also, Dead Man's Switch and Thanatophobia also got gutted.

They really want to increase base gen time, I bet.

And I have already seen people ask for more regression perks to apply CURRENT gen progress instead of absolut percentages. 😂

Nobody complained about old Pop. Such an unnecessary nerf.

With the old pop, I still don't understand how BHVR thought 60s was way too much time for a lone killer to explore the map to see where to apply it, whilst juggling 4 survivors who'll lead them into dead zones and away from gens with progress.

They've literally made it where killers have to just get survivors go and parade around the map, and even then 45s isn't enough time to do that on a lot of maps because of the sheer size of them.

And, literally at the exact same time, DS was perfectly fine with a 60s countdown. The survivors could go away, heal up, do gens, etc, and still retain a 60s window to go down and strike the killer... seriously??

    ?

Old pop + old pr meant 40% progress gone. Apply that with OC (that got buffed) + CoB regression means that a gen would go 99% -> 0 in a matter of seconds, considering the survivor would be pushed away from it and chased so they wouldn't be able to stop the regression.

Old pop in current meta would be a huge problem, and it situationally still is equally strong, aka on gens with a lot of progress. The only difference is that you now can't mindlessly pop a gen with 30% progress and have it completely nullified

As someone who actually uses pop on my builds, the first part is completely true, old pop along with the new regression could be horrible, however the second part is a hard cap, I have played with pop a lot and it is in no way a strong perk, even on high progress gens the 22.5% regression is not even noticeable compared to the gen progress a survivor can do while their team mate is being chased and the time it takes to get to the gen, saying new pop is strong has to be ironic, thats ehy I use it because I like to use memey offmeta stuff.
