Why did characters I bought with iridescent shards/auric cells get locked out of nowhere?
I decided one day I wanted to play and I went to play survivor and I saw that I was on Dwight even though that I last played Kate so I go to check and I see that Kate is locked away. I look around and I see that two other survivors of mine had the same thing happen but not any of killers. I uninstalled and everything yet nothing fixed it and I recently check again and saw that I lost plague and hag even though it said I could play them the week prior. I tried emailing BHVR and they tried to help but later said they couldn't get it back. Does anyone know anything else I can do?

Have you by any chance been playing the PTB? Your account at any PTB uses a snapshot of how things were a couple of weeks ago, so in this case Kate would be still locked in the PTB.
Other then that it sounds really strange and I have no clue what could be going on.

I don't think any of the characters are locked in the PTb.

This is a job for Support to handle if a quick restart hasn't fixed it.
