This is a RANT
The state of how the devs are completely giving zero Fs about players from other regions which aren’t close to any server who always play on high ping “120 minimum” is utterly disrespectful and ridiculous.
I’m not saying this in terms of simple delay, I’m saying this as in it completely nullifies certain techs we need to use while playing, such as quickly entering the locker while Bubba is using chainsaw, which in this case I’m GUARANTEED to get downed unless he’s at least 3-4 meters away in which case why would I even need to use it and not to mention that 90% of fast window vaults while being chased is a guaranteed hit.
I don’t even need to talk in detail about playing as killer which the opposite occurs as while chasing a survivor that’s vaulting 90% of the time it won’t hit if they had better ping than me as well as killers’ abilities.
I apologies for making this quite long but I had to get it out of my chest since I’ve been playing this game for 5 years without them giving any attention to our community and I’m sure this post will change nothing as always.

Not sure what you expect them to other than have a server in every city. I live in the Midwestern United States and so I connect to either Oregon or North Virginia, not sure which so sometimes my ping isn't the greatest. It would be awesome if they had a server in Kansas City, one in Portland, one in Los Angeles, one in Dallas, one in New York, one in New Orleans, one in Chicago, one in Atlanta... but... that's just not feasible. In fact, some games have all their servers in one location and it's only set to "regions" for letting you expect similar schedules. Pretty sure BHVR at least does have East Coast and West Coast servers, same with Oceanic and UK, etc.
Last they said, this is where they currently have servers.
- Asia: Singapore
- Asia: Tokyo
- Australia: Sydney
- Europe: Frankfurt
- Europe: London
- South America: Sao Paulo
- North America: North Virginia
- North America: Oregon

Servers are more expensive than you think.
While a completely unrelated game, Battlebit Remastered (which is an indie game) spends 12k per month per regional servers, which is a lot considering the amount of regional servers you need to cover most areas in the world AND the fact that yearly expenses add up quickly.
With a game like DBD, they are going to need more servers in general since they run servers with high population but lower capacity of players per server; which as a result is significantly more expensive than what I mentioned with Battlebit Remastered. This isnt even including the costs of server maintenance and repairs.
This isnt even considering the fact that Battlebit itself is a smaller game, with a smaller community, that also does not have to deal with cross-play services, which means their costs are vastly lower than that of DBD's. You can probably just piece together some sort of guess estimation of what you might think it is, but it gets really costly and leaves BHVR in a tough situation since they have to consider if the cost of the servers can be covered by the region actually providing enough funding to keep the servers running to begin with.
Keep in mind, all of this is being funded while other things also need funding and development which can be INSANELY costly. Things are not as simple as you make them out to be.
