Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Are multi-floor maps a bad idea?

So many perks and killers change so dramatically just because of this design.

Terror radius perks, boons, SM drones, any distance base perk, makes 3 gens very awkward, some killers and survivors waste so much time going from floor to floor while teleporting killers get huge buffs as they aren't affected.

Do you think this types of maps are ok in small doses for variety and experience or are their issues and abuses dealbreakers?

I am kinda split.

As long as the map is made relatively well, multiple floor maps are fine. Gives different advantages and disadvantages depending on builds and killers.

Only thing that has to be absolutely designed well is ways to get to other floors. Midwich can either ruin a killer with no stairs and hooks somehow everywhere else or makes multiple 3 gen traps
