Next meta post Tools of Boredom mid-chapter
Bunch of changes in this mid-chapter, many of them great, a few beyond questionable.
Regardless, considering I'm always right at calling these things (bold claim, Cotton), this is the next meta after the gen-kicking NPC'ing of the last few months:
Hit'n'run and facecamp with Deadlock. Rest of the loadout depends on killer power, but something that applies mangled (Sloppy or add-on), Corrupt, STBFL, NWO, Franklin's mainly. Tunnel off hook, of course. Probably not that much different from now, beside the shift to anti-healing.
Survivors stack on medkits and bring exhaustion (not Died Hard), Reassurance if they have it and the rest is utility. Gens before friends.
Ikr, very imaginative.
The changes to medkits are ok, but increasing healing across the board to 24 sec (a flat 50%) is overkill if not outright bananas, especially with CoH being nerfed (more on that later) and how mangled and hemorrhage currently work. Another case where they could apply changes in small increments, monitor and re-assess, but instead opt for the sledgehammer.
What do you need to do to go for a save? Reset. Now it takes longer. Time which survivors aren't spending on gens. And that on top of the fact that it just buys them a ticket to play the hook grab game.
Yeah. They managed to buff camping. Again. That coupled with the fact that they nerfed PR (because reasons), there's no incentive to chase. This game is not balanced for survivors having soft No Mither applied to them and for killers to not have some way to control gens.
Sidenote. CoH is not useless. The aura works as a beacon to incentivize resets but, as usual, SWFs are the ones that can use it efficiently and ironically regardless of aura. It does soloQ no good to stand in the boon radius glowing like a firefly and having 3 other people wondering if they need to drop repairs and run across the map to reset you while someone else might be doing the same.
PS: I better refrain from commenting about the fact they nerfed Billy's Engravings. Meanwhile Blight's add-ons...
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

This is probably my biggest worry. Camping will be buffed yet again indirectly with these healing nerfs.
I do like these drastic changes however, they actually get me excited about a game that has become a bit stale for me at the moment. This will shift the meta, and I can't wait to see it. But there are certain issues that will most likely arise from these changes, which will hopefully be addressed.
With this nerf to healing, it will now finally be time to increase the hook phase duration of survivors. I think BHVR will be in trouble if they don't do so. They also really need to look into Deadlock before this patch hits live servers real bad.
It's weird how BHVR still seems to overlook camping as much as they do. They need to address camping as well with such drastic changes, in no way can that strategy receive another indirect buff again, that would be horrible.
The reason I am hopeful is that the 6.1.0 update also received some nice changes before it went live, so I hope the same will happen here again.

Meta is going to be Wraith with:
Perks:
- Sloppy, Nurse Calling and Infectious Fright/Corrupt Intervention and... Knockout/Jolt, or maybe Deadlock.
Addons (could be a combo of any of the below):
- All Seeing Spirit (Keep track of gens survivors are on)
- Silent Bell (Sneak up to survivors)
- Faster movement speed (Keep up the pressure)
- Faster breaking pallets (Keep up the pressure)
- Seeing survivor auras (you can't hide)
Going to suck especially for solo q. Add an indoor map for a 100% win.

Personally, I can't wait for Legion with Defaced Pin, Filthy Blade and Thana. Or Plague. Mmmmmh tasty.
