Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

I’m not sure if there is a way to make Solo Q better

I have been playing non stop survivor by myself, honestly it hasn’t been so bad.

yes I get trash teammates sometimes but there’s nothing you can really do about that. I just focus on myself, even if I get sacrificed, I still end up pipping up.

im not sure what changes could make solo Q survivors any better without boosting SWF but if anyone has ideas this is a good time to voice it.

Let people see the perks of other survivors in the lobby.

And if worried about people being toxic over it, at least show perks that massively benefit from others knowing their presence once relevant. Someone just got hooked and they have active Deliverance? Show that so everyone knows they don't need to be unhooked. Someone got hooked a second time and they have Kinship? Show it, so everyone knows it's available to activate. Someone got downed and they have Unbreakable? Same thing, so everyone knows it.

Better matchmaking and a positive feedback loop for winning. This is the only PVP game I can think of where there's no reward for winning a game or being good at it. Giving players a reason to care about winning and improving would go a long way towards improving the solo queue experience. But right now, one or two survivors are almost always significantly worse than the other two, and no amount of wins or effort to improve has a tangible effect on the quality of your teammates.

I have a 65% escape rate in SWF over the last month since we started tracking it, but I've been playing with that team for years and I imagine my escape rate is similar over than time period. Extrapolate what you will as it relates to MMR. The second I load into a solo queue match, half the team is AFK, someone gets grabbed off a gen by a Trapper, and the team is 4k'd at 3 gens. It feels completely and utterly hopeless, and by extension, not fun.

Funny enough next patch should improve soloq. The changes make running the killer more valuable. Problem with soloq is MM, which can't work if you don't reward players when they run the killer. This is why I think it is so bad because running the killer doesn't give enough impact on the game. How can MM work if skilled play doesn't result in winning for soloq?

Eh, just remove/buff hook kobeing to not lose hook timer, and also remove stage 2 skillchecks, so at least there will be slightly more functioning games.

I think solo Q is a lost cause as far as balancing. I think they should incentivize playing well as a solo survivor with more than just BP. The old ranking system did that, IMO. Honestly to know you're losing MMR in matches you can't control a lot of the time with people quitting or in some way making the match nearly unwinnable (inexperienced survivors, memes, challenges, etc) is kind of infuriating to be honest.
