Survivor Ego and the New HUD
I play more killer than survivor because I can play matches how I want to. 1 in 5 matches there's always the survivor(s) with ADD who've taken their Adderall running at me jumping in lockers, throwing pallets, running behind me to get me to chase them like I'm their monkey.
I prefer to play objectively; contest generators. With the new HUD Survivor status, they can more easily get away with such conduct since there's almost always at least 1 survivor on a generator every minute.
This game doesn't support solo queue. People would rather use self-focused perks then global information perks. More players, including myself, have given up way more often since the change. Just look at the forum. Everyday there's a new topic about hook suicide and DC. Playing DbD is more frustrating than enjoyable.

Don't get me started on the other bullshit going on with perk/item/map/add-on/killer power balancing. What should be done? I don't know. Probably nothing. That's just how the game is. Accept it or leave.

I got a good chuckle out of the analogy at the beginning of monkeys on Adderall, but anyways to the main topic, wait- what is the main topic here? Survivor ego's? Monkey's high on Adderall? Game balance?

The survivor HUD change fueling the ego playstyle, more efficient gen rushing, and more players giving up. The tidbit at the end is a side note.

The main point in this topic is answered in the comment above.
The last paragraph was to confess my lack of hope of game balance. You could argue that game balance is viewed differently to every player -- but just look at the hundreds of comments talking about the same issues. That must mean something isn't right. In the last 6 months, player satisfaction has dropped dramatically -- and there's evidence in-game and on the forum. When a new update is announced, everyone is relieved... Until they read the damn thing.
