This game is a mess for killers
I can't for the life of me just have a normal game anymore.
Every single game I have I get paired against the FBI, the US marines, the navy seals, and the British army.
It's literally unbearable. I logged in today to have a quick chill game before doing what I needed to do and again got matched against a super swf.
Needless to say I uninstalled. This game has gone to hell.
Killer is trash. Solo queue is trash.
The only way to enjoy dbd anymore is to play swf.

I doubt every team you faced was seal team hokage plus ultra level. I’m mediocre/bad at killer and I’m doing okayish. I’m not getting easy 4ks like some one here like to gloat, but 2-3k is often.
Maybe you play to try-hard and you’re stuck in high MMR hell. If you come back to the game, ease up a bit and let your MMR tank.

Same. Last time I played I got one really good coordinated squad out of about 8 games and even then I did manage to defend my honor with 6 hooks. As a bonus, the team also was friendly in the post-game!

There’s always room for improvement especially against a good team of survivors, if you finish a killer match against a good coordinated Swf with 1 hook for example always think what you could’ve done better to get 4 hooks or even a kill. Maybe start to invest time to learn killers with high mobility like Nurse, Blight or Hillbilly. There are some awful maps for killer 100%, but that doesn’t mean that just because it’s a “SWF” it’s their fault that YOU couldn’t do anything..

We still have no way of telling if it's a SWF or not... playstyles will eventually be the same with all of the information that Survivors have
And if they want a fast game then give it to them and leave as soon as the match is over... don't wait for end game chat... don't even look at their perks and BP gained

I sure as hell won't queue up until there are considerable nerfs to genrushing. The wrist slap to healing doesn't make up for the brutal gutting the gen regression perks are receiving next patch. They better come up with some actual killer buffs soon or else I'm not touching this game until the anniversary chapter.

You should know that it's likely those aren't squads, not the majority of them at least.
Occam's Razor, you probably just aren't as good as you think and these people are just better than you.

I highly doubt you get strong teams all the time.
Even with my best killers I don't always get "SWAT" teams, even when I was playing every day, even with my Nurse, even when I was crushing teams several times in a row. As for bullies, they are pretty rare (Once a night maybe, and they usually are pretty manageable. My worst bullies kill for the last few months has been tonight actually : only 2 kills because the 3rd survivor managed to unhook himself and drop into the hatch that had popped next to him. Nevertheless they were pretty livid in the chat so it was still kind of a win ;) )
Beginners using the new information to push the gens aren't a "SWAT". They are just doing the most basic thing survivors have to do in the game that only an utter beginner doesn't do. (The one reason tunnelling is the only tactic left in the game.)
I'm not sure I read anger but if you were, it's probably a good thing you've uninstalled. I'd suggest taking up meditation.

A tryhard would play viable killers like Nurse and Blight, meanwhile a casual killer player would play anyone else. Mostly m1 killers to be precise. That's the difference.

They should really consider raising the base regression from kicking a gen to 5% on all killers so it'd be as efficient as a Knight guard.

The matchmaking just makes no damn sense in this game. Streamers like Tofu and ScottJund get fed a steady diet of complete babies to slaughter live on Twitch while almost every lobby for me includes multiple p100s, juiced items, and shattered square/farm/garden of joy offerings

First you gaslight someone when they are trying to share their experiences.
Then you say : just lose a bunch of games in a row and then it will be fine after you've tanked your MMR.
Killer has sucked almost the entire time since 2016. It's my belief that the devs keep the role one step away from being miserable by design.
Nurse and Blight "work" on every possible scenario; they're fine vs SWF, on hilariously broken survivor favored maps and against the most incredibly BS perks/items.
Most of the killer cast is nowhere near that lucky and any one of those things can easily ruin the game for them.

Why hide MMR unless you as a company are doing something shady?
Consider for a moment that maybe anyone who is a "fog whisperer" gets an emblem on their account that gives them easy games. What would that do?
- It would make the game look more fun than it actually is.
- It would make people watch these people play and think : I could do that.
- This would increase sales and make them more money.
By hiding the system from us we also can't easily tell when it is broken. Maybe that p100 player with 5,000 hours was with a drunk friend or maybe the match maker is drunk. We'll never know because they hide it from us.

Not gaslighting anyone. Dont try so hard and you won't get matched up against sweaty teams (for the most part). I am only stating my experience. If you sweat to get a 4k every match, you're going to be put up against similar opponents.

I think he was talking yesterday about how he doesn't want to play Killer because he just keeps getting Survivors that are WAY worse than him.

I came to the conclusion long ago that some streamers are spending their time off camera lowering their MMR because there's no way I hell they're getting games as easy as they're getting as much as they're getting them.
I can't speak for Tofu though as I haven't watched much of his content.

They've admitted they've come back to the game after a break. It's likely they just aren't quite what they used to be.

Can you go lobby shopping in higher MMR?
I'm not sure where I am, but not at the bottom cause I mostly get competent survivors. I'm starting to recognize sweat squads and opt out, same with ttvs.
But yeah, matchmaking in this game is awful. Yesterday I've ended up babysitting while playing Spirit, cause I got completely green team and couldn't bring myself to massacring them. It was strange, because I rotate killers I play and shouldn't get baby teams at all. It's just mean for the newbies -.-'

There's this think called MMR. If you play well enough, eventually you get to face people that are supposed to be challenging for you. If you don't want that, then stop sweating so much. Let people escape when they're all on death hook instead of slugging for that 4k after you've tunneled out the first three one by one. If you want to play super sweaty and win a lot, eventually the system will put you against people that can take your crap. If you want chill, play more chill and stop trying to 4k every game.

I've usually seen it be used more in terms of skill/game knowledge than hours. If one plays casually, they have a tendency to autopilot their gameplay. If they are taking the game more seriously, they are continuously seeking new information in the form of power mastery, macro strategies, and micro mindgames, tile/pallet spawn recognition, and more. There are people who can pick up a large amount of info quickly, and people who need to take longer to cement a concept. That's why I understand it to be effort instead of time.
There are numerous reasons matches can be wack. I think the most likely case is negativity bias. People can win 9 matches, but the loss against the sweat SWF ticks them off enough to feel like the game is unplayable. If you truly think your matches are crazy, I just ask you play and record 5 matches with the incentive favored on Killer, and 5 with the incentive favored on survivor. Watch the matches back afterwards. You should only be winning half of matches anyways, (or at least equal to losses, not counting ties) with a ~60% kill rate if the matchmaking is functioning right. One of the biggest factors is time of day at your region though.
I honestly preferred rank based matchmaking. It allowed me to 2-hook tango and let people go, but I could still get fun matches. Now I feel like I have to kick puppies just so the game doesn't force me to kick puppies the next match. Rank matchmaking gave me that nice middle-ground.

I'd even be fine with an alternate hook button on death hook or like current Moris on the ground, that 'kills' the survivor for MMR purposes and destroys the hook (if hook button), but still lets them play and get BP. That way I prove I 'won', but can still let them have fun if they are new.
