Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Old Animations (Modding)

So I have recently discovered a group of people who made a modding method public for everyone. They made it possible to bring back the old Survivor Animations such as running, walking, being injured and more. I really love and miss those animations and would like to bring those back. Before I do so I would like to know what BHVR thinks about it.

Given that BHVR have already patched it out once before, and that tampering with the game files is a specific no as outlined in the EULA (where modifying icons is an exception, not a rule, and they've clearly said that if EAC changes it's stance they won't help you) I'd say that any form of tampering with the game files, such as modifying them to change animations, runs the risk of you being banned.

The thing about modding in dbd is that while bhvr is not against modding itself and it's not guaranteed that you'll get banned for doing it, there is a possible risk that EAC will act up if you start touching something in the game files that it doesn't want people to touch or change, and bhvr cannot help you undo your ban if that happens.

In short: While EAC may not ban you for doing it, you still do it at your own risk.
