There are 4 medkits that do the same thing.

The only decent addons are as follow: syringe, styptic everything else is eh

Gel dressing is useless on its own and its waaaaay worse than syringe how are they still same rarity.

Why are no medkits or addons for that matter affecting healing of other survivors in meaningful way?

Ranger medkits shouldnt allow you to heal yourself at all but it should have enough charges to heal 3 people. thats an example.

If you want to incentivize healing others with medkits reducing charges wont do it.

    It's a bit of a shame they didn't try to create some new addons for medkits.

    Yeah the survivor item pool was already struggling and this hasn’t helped. A brown medkit is essentially identical to a purple and syringe + bandages is the best combo in 99% of situations

    Glad medkits got nerfed but they could have made more interesting add ons. How about pills which silence your grunts of pain for 60 seconds at the cost of 12 charges of your medkit for example?

    This is a problem of devs nerfing medkits in a brute way, that nerfed fun/variety as well. Before, you would go... "Oooo which medkit do I bring? The brown one with 1 full heal? The yellow one with 1.5 heal? The green one with 1 full fast heal? Or the purple one with 2 full heals?" There was fun and variety in choice.

    Now it's just.... bring any medkit, they are all the same. Just feels meh. I hope the devs start paying much more attention to what makes the game fun . You can nerf the problematic stuff without nerfing the fun (significantly). When you nerf both (like in this midchapter), problems arise. Players don't want to play anymore.

    CoH could have kept the self-healing aspect, but nerfed as I suggested elsewehere: cooldown when snuffed; gets auto snuffed when having healed 2-3 full health states; healing speed depends on the distance from the boon totem. There was FUN being solo queue, and setting up a boon that helps teammates. It felt really good. That fun and good feeling of helping teammates is gone now, at least when it comes to CoH. Again, CoH nerfed in a way that ruined the fun with CoH. It could have been nerfed in the way I proposed, where the fun would still come into play.
