I have a question about linking accounts

So i have been playing dead by daylight on epic games for a lengthy period, about over a year, and now i got money to buy it on steam, so i did, i linked the accounts so the progress would merge.....but there was a problem, you see for some stupid reason, i had a different email for epic games, than i had for steam, but i have so much progress that i dont want to lose like that, i want to be able to play the ptb and do other stuff like that on steam, but i cant easily link accounts since theyre different emails. Is there any possibility to get them merged, or am i screwed?

    I don't know a solution for your problem, but be careful merging. It completely resets your MMR (or at least it did for me) ended up playing with potatoes for a while.

    Why would different E-Mails be a problem?

    you have to create a BHVR account and then link both of the Steam and Epic accounts independently from one another to that BHVR account, then you can merge the accounts.

    be aware that you need to have the Steam version started once and possibly have gone through the tutorial as well.
