anon mode for console, im slightly confused

hey guys, i read they added anon for console recently as it wasnt an option before, but even when it hides my own name on my screen it still shows my name for others in game, i noticed from watching a game back when i played vs a streamer. so have i done something wrong? has it not been released yet despite what i read or is it bugged? ty

If you're on Xbox, it isn't available.

I'd imagine you're on Xbox like me. If so, their Anonymous Mode cannot hide your name from others also on Xbox. This is due to the platform's restrictions, not anything the devs have control over.
The PlayStations don't have those restrictions.

Not on xbox. Patch notes said all consoles but that was incorrect
