Lightborn+Wraith=poopy?

ive always felt that lightborn should just make the wraith immune to flashlights in general.

is there a reason this isnt the way it is normally? did they try it and it was super funky for whatever reason?

its just like the one character where lightborn does almost nothing for my playstyle, and it bums me out

Pretty sure Wraith doesn't get lightburned anymore.

They removed the lightburn mechanic from all killers that had it, including the Wraith. You can no longer get burned out of your stealth power.

They just patched light burn mechanics out across the board so you're good to go.

Now as to the reason why it didn't make Wraith immune to light burn in the past is purely down to balance concerns. Light burn was a mechanic designed to be a counterplay tool against certain killers in the beginning of dbd's life. The game was also played a bit differently and there was more emphasis on stealth, but as the game has grown and players have developed skills that are much more consistent to deal with Wraith and others it just wasn't a feature that seemed to make much sense anymore. The only folks who really went hard on light burn were teams usually which ultimately just made the experience for Wraiths pretty bad when they did encounter them.

In Nurse's case it was just super inconsistent to the point almost no one took the risk to try and burn her out of a blink so having a weakness no one can capitalize on sort of begs the question why even have that as a weakness.
