They Shadow Nerfed Insidious??
Not really but I was already writing this post when I found out that this was actually a bugfix.
It did have a niche use of pairing up decently well with other Undetectable perks or add ons. How you may ask? Well say you had Undetectable from Tinkerer and it was just about to run out, standing still would keep your Undetectable active even if you didnt stay still for 2 seconds.
This was actually pretty fun to use on a killer like Nemesis who could get easy access to Undetectable thanks to Serotonin Injector or Sadako who would be completely silent when Manifested.
At least it was fun while it lasted

you can still use it. you stand for 2 seconds while being undetectable. very pointless perk. The only killer that I have ever seen use this perk is insidious bubba.

I was just thinking, maybe we could give Insidious a buff similar to the buff Lethal got, so that it extends the duration of timed Undetectable effects by a certain amount. Would give the perk more utility besides just camping (hooks or gens).
The perk tiers could than be various amounts of the extension, e.g. 30%, 40%, 50% longer. And the Undetectable when standing still could trigger after 1 second already, which would maybe allow to use it in loops for mind games.

I mean yeah it still works but it still severely limits the amount of time you can walk around while Undetectable
The perk definitely wasnt great, but it was on the same level of fun as Scratched Mirror for me. Its a shame its butchered now

I'm of the opinion that Insidious shouldn't be in the game. The only times it's not useless is when it promotes unfun gameplay.
Other kinds of undetectable perks are much healthier in comparison.

When used in this way, it was the complete opposite of unfun
Basically the same feeling as going against Scratched Mirror but on literally any killer

Seems unintended and probably had to do with the bug where the icon was lighting up when Undetectable from another source, which was just fixed.
Ironically in the process of doing that they bugged PWYF to do the same thing which doesn’t even make sense because it doesn’t give you stealth.

Yeah thats exactly what it was, it was activating from other sources of Undetectable which made it pair pretty well with other perks
Also it seems like a bunch of perks now are bugged like that, Blood Warden has been bugged since I believe Skull Merchants release where it doesnt light up anymore when the exit gates are powered, but only when you actually hook some one. It also doesnt show people at the exit gates from time to time which is odd

Iirc Blood Warden was only showing the auras once the exit blocker activates, instead of being active as soon as a gate is opened. Don’t know if it’s still bugged or not.

Dont think it is anymore, but its definitely not lighting up once the gates are powered, only when you get a hook
