Killer Toxicity

I just played solo surv, two stack, and three stack mixed for a solid six hours tonight. Not a single one of the post games did i get called nsfw names, and practically bullied by killers. I don't play like a toxic survivor, i just do my best to complete my objectives. SURVIVE. I do a gen or two, get hooked, heal survivors, and maybe, MAYBE. If im lucky, get a flashlight save or pallet save. Their reasoning is that and i quote, " You healed too fast " or " You gen rushed " or " You blinded me ". What am i supposed to do? roll over and just let them kill me? How am i supposed to play any differently? Just so it can't be used as an excuse, heres my build: Adrenaline, Windows of Opportunity, Streetwise, Resilience. Nothing toxic. Items i might run a yellow beamer if im feeling lucky, or i run a toolbox for gens ( never sabo boxes ). Tell me, toxic killer mains, What would you like me to do differently? Because i know im not alone, alot of survivors feel this way about y'all.

You cant use the excuse of " Theres too many toxic survivors out there! I have to play that way and act that way!" If you think this, youre a liar. For three days in a row i played killer, and funny thing is, survivors did gens, looped me a little, hit a couple beamer and pallet saves, and wow, to my UTTER SHOCK ( sarcasm in case you can't tell ) nobody was toxic! When i 4ked at 5 gens, or if they got a 4 man escape! Nobody was toxic on either side. Everyone said good game, good luck on next, and moved on!

Again i ask, to all you entitled killer mains, What am i and all the other average joe players doing, that is so toxic and deserving of being bullied to the point of mental breakdowns?

You're looking for reason in DBD. That is your mistake.

You didn't do anything wrong and you didn't deserve to be harassed. Just keep doing what your doing, their problems aren't really with you just the game and themselves. They need to chill.

Had a killer go off in chat because I put an item down, fast crouched by the item, then left. Just how some people are, have to just roll your eyes and move onto the next one.

In French we have a saying, "La bave du villain crapaud n'atteint pas la blanche colombe".

You can translate it to "let them spread hate if they want, you're better than lowering you to their level and shouldn't care"

The funniest reason a killer raged quitted / insulted my lobby in chat was because two people had Balanced Landing. On Lery.

That's a rare occurence though. I don't play a lot these past couple of months, but most killers I encounter are actually pretty chill.

One time a killer DCed during the first chase of the game bc he got stunned by a pallet, and explained in the chat how it was toxic and bullying. Doesn't matter how you play, some people will always manage to find an excuse to be toxic or complain about you being toxic when they want to.

Also there's no such things as "toxic perks", don't limit your builds because you see people complain about this or that (unless there's an exploit going around), you'll never make everybody happy so just play with what you want :)

You know, this does go both ways though...last night I was killer and killed someone, and they were so upset they looked me up on twitch (my dbd name has ttv in it) and then sent me a bunch of messages, even ones telling me how I should wear my makeup different etc

So essentially, because someone was killed in a game, they wanted to try to make fun of me (real me) in real life. The players in this community are a mess..on both sides.

Both sides are equally as toxic. I get toxic killers when I play survivor, but..

Although in my experience playing killer, the survivors I go against ALWAYS start BM’ing from the rip. I just ignore it and play like I always do but they will BM all game, and then throw insults in post game when they lose.

It's cause the definition of toxicity is so loose that everyone thinks that anything is toxic

Don't let that effect you enough to make a forum post about it... it's not worth it and people are people and some of them won't change

I played more than 2000 hours of DBD I have never seen a single killer complain about SWF, gen speed or healing speed in end game chat. Not once. The only thing close to this was a huntress mentioning how she lost a gen on Ormond before being able to patrol it because we were 4 with prove on it with 2 BNP and…she was laughing about it.

On the other side I have seen a ton of survivor complain about tunneling, camping, slugging and LGBT flags on hooks in the end game chat.
