Trickster still has anti console mechanics 2 years later
I haven't made a post about console trickster in a while so here we go again.
Trickster, despite being out for over 2 years, still has unnecessary mechanics that make him much harder to play on console. These mechanics are:
- Randomised horizontal recoil,
- Two spread out firing points
Unlike a mouse, making micro adjustments is 10x harder on a joystick. So accounting for random side to side recoil and rapidly changing firing points accurately (especially in a short time frame between knife throws) borders on impossibility.
Add on top of this a long throw delay, the design of having to hit 6 consecutive knives, lack of controller support, bad framerate, certain maps such as campbells causing the framerate to plummet even further, main even reducing framerate, and 44 knives base kit.
To make him much more controller friendly, id suggest:
- Remove horizontal recoil (vertical doesn't really matter for console)
- Reduce the lateral spawn offset for blades to 3cm (instead of the current 10cm)
- Buff him to give him 50 or 60 blades base (preferably 60 since his added blade add ons are small numbers)

I enjoy playing trickster he's fun and love his comments if you have the subtitles on.
But your right he's pretty rubbish on console.

On console you basically can’t build up the speed of his knives. You can maybe throw a couple before having to reset- defeating the entire purpose of his power.
Also whilst I can understand why main event is designed the way it is, it still needs a rework.

Well consoles also don't have any graphics or more importantly performance optimization after 5 years.
So i don't know what you expect for a single killer.

While you are correct, Trickster is the only killer that is flat out unplayable on console. Even worse to run than Nurse, and far less effective. They have a legit right to complain about him.
