custom servers /new game mechanic discussion, Scott junds idea
Could dbd devs do such a thing? Would that make dbd live indefinitely? Scott made an example of left4dead and I couldn't agree more ...I want more fun options in this game be it a new game mechanic or custom servers for hill billy surfers. Dbd needs a way to keep veteran survivors here, I'm one of them lol I have 8k hrs into dbd ...and it is my favorite game but the same game play loop gets boring

I would 10000% be up for this
Hell at the very least just more customization options for KYF. Like the number of pallets, windows, hooks, gens, tiles, speeds, TR, etc.

A custom server browser would be quite amazing.

I've been wanting a new mode + crazy weekend events for a long time.
With TTCM beta, I've been recently wanting a Hide & Seek mode on a customized map with more dark shadows, less loops, more sneaking around and more hiding places. They can also introduce items like cardboard boxes and bushes to hide and move about in. They can do it if they put some time and effort into it.
The crazy weekend mode (would be optional), they would do stuff like introduce a Blizzard that has swept over the realm and frosted everything over. Behavior would just have to pick a few maps, frost them over and make the ground slippery for both survivors and killer. If they run without thinking, they slip and slide all over the place. They could also do stuff like give an event where the survivors or the killers character models are shrunk down. They can introduce new power up icons on the maps that will boost speed, give you camouflage, slow you down, and whatever else they can come up with (think power ups like in Mario Cart).
I really wish they would introduce a new mode so they can do stuff "outside the box" and not have to worry about balance for the base game.

A capture the flag mode would be cool. Maybe 3 survivors and two killers on a team. Killers can't leave there side of the map. When a survivor goes down they respawn on their side of the map.
A casual mode where the survivors have to beat the clock. Each hook shortens the clock. No one is eliminated. Eliminations are part of the reason this game creates a lot of bad vibes.
1 v 1 mode would be fun.
Probably a lot they could do. We just get more killers though and some crummy maps.

Throw in map seed so you can get the exact same map everytime and suddenly tournaments become viable.
