How am I supposed to do the Flip-Flop challenge solo?

On the one hand, it's hilarious that the challenge is just "get Flip-Flop to do what it's supposed to do" and it's ridiculously hard. But on the other hand... how do I do it without SWF?

Here's what I've tried:

  • Run Flip-Flop by itself. Not effective. The killer either picks me up immediately or leaves me slugged forever.
  • Run Flip-Flop with D-strike. Not effective. D-strike doesn't count for the challenge.
  • Run Flip-Flop with Unbreakable/Tenacity. Not effective. The killer either picks me up immediately or refuses to pick me up at all once I crawl to a corner.
  • Run Flip-Flop with Boil Over. Not effective. Once the killer finds out I have Boil Over, they refuse to pick me up.
  • Run Flip-Flop with Power Struggle. Not effective. I'll never know if Power Struggle would count, because no one walks under a pallet.

Like, literally what do I do? Just run Flip-Flop every match and wait for some random circumstance where I happen to get dropped?

I'd go with FF+Tenacity, but don't crawl TOO far away when you get slugged. Then yes, you just wait for the random circumstance to happen.

FF, UB, Tenacity, Boil Over and you have to go down at certain places in the map.

Flip Flop, Unbreakable, Tenacity and Power struggle has worked for me sometimes. Sometimes i replace Unbreakable with Boil over, but yeah doing these in soloQ is hard.

I tried all day yesterday to do the take 3 protection hits and escape as Ashley...well didn't go so well. If i took protection hits i got tunneled ( i dont blame the killers i'd do the same) Or i was first in hook and died first :D

I haven't seen the challenge but I'm guessing you gotta wiggle off with it? The ONLY thing I can think of in solo queue is run it with Boil Over + UB, run upstairs or into a corner and hope for the best. It's crap you've gotta play scummy but if that's what the archive requires it's just a garbage archive.

Yeah I just had a killer game where two of the survivors brought Crotus Prenn (and got lucky getting Disturbed Ward) and just stayed upstairs in main with Boil Over, No Mither and Flip Flop.

I can't blame them too much since that's basically what you NEED to do to get the challenge done but it's miserable for the killer. Luckily I was SM so I just held a 3-gen and won with neither of them wiggling out.

    Do boil over build

    use a ormond offering

Thats how I did it in one game you may feel like an ######### after but hey you have the challenge lol

Flip Flop, Power Struggle and Tenacity. Chase the killer when they pick someone up and go down on purpose when you know you'll have time to crawl to a pallet.

Alternatively, if you ever end up in deep wounds and not getting chased, let yourself bleedout under a pallet and wait until the killer comes over to pick you up. Also can work with Nemi zombies.

Shouldn't take many games at all.

From experience: Power Struggle doesn't count towards the challenge. You have to wiggle out completely, as atrocious as that is. No pallet save, flashlight save, or Power Struggle. Bhvr needs to stop letting spiteful toddlers design these challenges

Run Flip-Flop with Unbreakable and pray, that's how I did it

Run an Ormond map offering, bring Boil Over, No Mither, Flip-Flop and whatever else you wanna bring.

Lure the killer upstairs in main.

    Profit

Flip Flop with Unbreakable and Boil Over is how I got it. It may take a few games but eventually you'll get a Killer that leaves you on the ground long enough to build your recovery. Even though I had Unbreakable I only 99'd my recovery and didn't pick myself up so I'd get the 50% wiggle progression.

Got it myself with Flipflop, UB, Tenacity, Boil over right in the second match. Was lucky to get caught on Pale Rose on the ship with the other survs on a gen, turned the gen on alone and getting downed for it. Though others were still right there so I could crawl in position and heal up to 99.

random Claudette had to try and pick me up (even though I would have gotten downed immediately anyways), I denied that by sprint button -> she didn’t run away and gave up on hook. But then I got my challenge done.

(Claudette stayed and watched me get out through hatch and flamed me in end game chat btw 😇)

Badham Preschool basement. Get someone who can read pre-game chat to play a Bloodied Blueprint and maybe a hook offering. Probably the easiest way if you're positioned near the center of the basement.

Or you can do Pale Rose and do the top of the ship. Same thing. Get someone to play a Bloodied and try to go down near the top center. You might be able to do it on Pantry if the Cursed Cabin isn't opened up on the bottom. May need a hook offering.

No Mither (Recovery speed), Unbreakable (Recovery speed), Tenacity (More time to recover), Flip Flop. Bring a sabotage toolbox and find a spot where you can go down and the killer can only take you to 1 hook. Break that hook, go to the spot and try to make some noise.

I don’t recall the exact words. Started with ‚hope that was worth it‘ from them and didn’t get friendlier afterwards. I guess it wasn’t direct flaming but ya know.. not nice either. Really don’t know what they wanted from me… like… they all ran away and left me for dead with the gen but then they give the killer free hits and want to heal me up in the killers face?!

but it’s your usual soloq experience.

I used Tenacity, Unbreakable and Flip Flop. But it required some trials and errors. I think it's easiest to do on Eyrie but that map, unfortunately, is not available.

Thanks everyone who replied. I eventually got it tonight -- against a killer who was struggling to even get a hook, I ran to the middle of nowhere in the swamp and made it so she couldn't hook me. Then, I chased her around and tried to get her to hook me for real because I felt like such a scumbag. Oh well.

It didn't occur to me to try to put myself in dying state when the killer's not around, but I might do that next time.

It's time to accept that the Challenges are designed by someone who does not play the game and their sidekick who only plays SWF.

I got it solo q first try, no nap offering, flip flop boil over, did a 1:1 on a camping tunneling slugging killer . Got wiggled out from him twice actually.

It takes a few trys but it is doable solo. As others have suggested, my build was windows, boil over, flip-flop, Unbreakable. Flip-flop and Unbreakable just wasnt cutting it. I also tried switching out Boil Over for tenacity, but I think that boil over hiding the hooks can catch an inattentive killer off guard.

Also, pay attention to where survivors were sacrificed. If one of your teammate has died near a corner, hold w into that corner and you have a pretty decent chance to wiggle free. I got a tunneling Blight on my fourth match managed to wiggle free not once, but twice.

Shoutout to my teammates who stayed to help me get out of the trial.

i'm just going to leave it for last and play normally like i did with "blood debt" challenges. tenacity would help and you could purposefully go down when the killer is carrying someone.

I know this may sound crazy but run RPD, there is a pallet and a hook out there at the rpd main gate (on the right side before entering the station )as you know, get down there on purpose and pray the killer is incline to use that hook, 95% of the time they tend to walk by the pallet because if they try to walk around the other sides they may not make the hook on time since the bench blocks them. Hence you should be able to power struggle off easily. A pity that is the only instant that 95% promises that you get a power struggle value. You can add boil over for added pressure but its really based on how close you got yourself down so that is a slight tricky part. Have not got this challenge myself... so I could be wrong on the power struggle part my apologies, seem someone say using power struggle wont let it count u.u

As another one pointed out, try to get hit into deep wound and let the timer run out, so you drop down. The killer will usually come and try to hook you eventually. Just don't make it too obvious. So maybe do a gen until you drop down. In case some random teammate comes to heal you, hold shift to deny it.

How to get deep wound? Play against Legion, or equip OTR, so you can force the killer to hit you after being unhooked. Usually, when they recognize you have OTR bc of no sounds, they will just hit you into mending and drop chase.

I got it pretty easy on Crotus Prenn with No Mither + Boil Over + Flip Flop. It's literally impossible for a killer to hook if you get the big main building and go up to floor two because BHVR didn't put hooks on the second floor for some reason.

Ormand flip flop boil over and tenacity and get downed in one of the rooms up stairs by a breakable wall
