Why save tomes , challenges etc for the bloodpoints?
Now the obvious answer is that the cap is 2 million bloodpoints, but if you have less than 2 mil and gain more from something like daily login then you can bypass the total bp amount right? I'm currently on 2.5 Million bloodpoints and still get bps after getting into a game.

Daily login rewards and BP codes let you go over the cap because those BP are put into a separate pool of points. Tome challenges and daily rituals are put into the normal pool.
So let's say you have 1,960,000 points. If you use a BP code for 50,000 your BP total will show 2,010,000. You would still be able to earn up to 40,000 from trials, tome challenges, and/or daily rituals (because your "normal" pool is still 1,960,000), but anything over that would be wasted.
If you have 2.5 million and are still earning BP from trials you might have a bug (albeit a welcome one) unless you just happen to have a huge pool of bonus points. You'll probably cap out sooner or later.
