So for some reason I'll have a teammate get hatch from the killer but nope for me killer drops me and closes it in my face...this is why I barely like friendly killers or killers that down me because their wanting to give me hatch. Just let me wiggle I would actually cover more ground and find hatch faster if you just simply let me move around.

    This comes down to three things:

    1 - Power Trip. The killer wants to give you PERMISSION to escape after he already decimated your team. He doesn't want you to feel like you earned it, more like a smiling god showing mercy.

    2 - Killers have challenges too, and in tier 4 of the current tome is a "close the hatch" challenge. You will likely see this more right now. Its a 50/50 hatch stand off if the killer doesn't slug for the 4k. Convincing you that he is friendly guarantees the killer their challenge.

    3 - Some people are miserable and just want to give you some hope so they can take it away.
