do you feel boon perks gave the kind of impact that was wanted?

with the dust settled and about 2 years of the perk type do you feel they're still a decent idea overall or a too hard to balance mechanic that fails given the amount of set up time and map knowledge?

im currently thinking they're a mixed bag potential wise. especially with the small range they have and situational effects . though if they made a vigil one or somthing like an item restoration drop off spot that could turn them around or buff the range since they only nerfed it cause of the self healing aspect in the first place

After CoH nerfed, i think i will be okey for original range. This will make other boons viable.

    Atm, boons are so garbage.

They are not garbage, they are powerfull for SWF groups if they play around them.

Shame how the first wave of them circle of healing was overpowered

Which basically means we will never get good boons

I thought they were great, but now, not so much anymore.

I prefer to play solo q, and I don't see it get used often there, even when it's placed. Shadowstep can be really powerful still though!

Because some of them need to be picked into specific killers to be useful.

You're probably only going to get use out of Boon: Exponential 1 in 10 games, when killers happen to slug you inside it. But if say, you knew the killer you would face, then you could bring it vs the ones that slug (Twins, Sadako) and then it would be a lot more useful.

Or Boon: Dark Theory, might be a lot better against certain killers. Or know not to bring Boon: Circle of Healing vs Plague and bring something more useful.

Same with Shadowstep (although I think atm it might be a sleeper, it's just more of a team perk and very RNG based like all boons obviously since you might get bad totem spawns).

I would like a Boon that makes killer powers take longer to charge, would be a nice debuff honestly.

Boons are rubbish. They are a failed concept. Aside from CoH in its OP-Stage (which was done to promote Mikaela, since it was a survivor-only paragraph) they were always bad. And I hope we dont get more Boon-Perks.

Even before the most recent nerf I think that Boons were already failed and even if CoH saw a lot of play, I think it was more beneficial to the Killer than anything else. Since Survivors are too ineffective and they set up their Boon over and over again instead of doing Gens, which just resulted in easier games for Killers. Even IF Survivors were able to heal because of CoH.

Nowadays, whenever I see someone setting up a Boon, I already know that there is nothing to expect from this person. Boons are the same as Self-Care at this point.

Quick and Quiet with Shadow Step and Lithe is pretty fun, but aside from that I don't really think boons are super useful, which is a shame because the idea behind them is really cool

If only COB wasn't overpowered on release

Boons are a concept that should have never left the brain storming room

They were okay at first, though I never equipped them. COH was undeniably helpful in its original state, and Shadowstep always came in handy. Exponential came in clutch, but when Dark Theory rolled around I think it was clear they'd run their course. I think I saw DT once in a game.

I think Boons were a little too situational, aside from CoH. They're always going to be difficult to balance since they're either too strong (CoH), too situational (Exponential), or too weak (Dark Theory). Shadowstep is probably the only balanced boon.

Like Scourge hooks, they started out nice, then sucked. The only good scourge hook is Pain resonance, Gift of pain is nice but requires a separate build to work well.

CoH was broken, allowed survs to heal too fast, but after the nerf became quite useless. Boons, like scourge hooks, are both nice ideas, but they should be reworked from scratch
