I can't complete this anniversary event as survivor..
I just can't play survivor anymore in order to this anniversary event,it's such a bad gameplay that I can't even force myself to play it to complete this event...
It's just...
5 games...5 games in a row where I just wanted to say "When will it be done so I can play something else"
And I had what I'd call "good games" in these 5...but the game's not fun
Killers are busted AF,looping is not fun because well...killers are busted,honestly anyone with a little bit of effort can 4K 90% of the time and don't you DENY IT or say "SWF" when you have Blight,Nurse and Spirit...and Wesker...and Knight and SM to literally win every game if you wanted.
Repairing literally,not even exagerating,makes me feel depressed.
Every item has been designed to be as useless as possible with 1 freaking thing in mind to destroy whatever was fun,and make you do only generators.
Every perk that was fun,relaxing or strong has been perfectly,down to the last bit of detail nerfed to be as garbage as possible.
I can't stress myself enough with how bothersome is to find a teammate to heal Sloppy Butcher because SC,idk made killer mains angry and sad to be this useless...
Dudes,I've not played this game seriously since Spirit's release.I've been taking breaks in and out ever since,telling myself I'll come back later to see improvements,but the only thing I see is more damage and no repayment..
When does the survivor gameplay actually becomes a concern for the developers?
Last 4 years felt like survivors gameplay became the middle child and killer gameplay became the youngest.
There hasn't been a new thing added since the release of the game for survivors to do!!!!
This is unacceptable and embarassing!
Just to reach the killer mains with their 50 wins in a row complaining their gameplay is bad,picture this:
The next few killers all powers will be like this and only this : Puts a trap that damages and snares a survivor and we'll call them "The Catcher" ; "The hooker" and the "The Snarer"
The only difference is how they look,sound and how their power looks ...because this is the content survivors received since the game's release.
I am honestly asking,in good faith,the survivor portion of this site,because I know the killer's won't give a damn...
Do you guys think that things will get genuinely better,such as new...NEW gameplay and more agency in builds and playstyle?
Or will they do the bare minimum and buff SC to 45% or worse..more nerfs on the horizon?
I am contemplating quitting this game and actually removing the game from my list,as I actually see this as an addiction to just come back to only get hurt,and your opinion actually matter...
I have 1014 hours in the game and this is the first time ever when I'm contemplating such a thing..
Your opinion on this matter,for me,atleast...

I mean...it sounds like you just plain don't like playing survivor.
Which is unfortunate when you want stuff with the event that has you play survivor but you clearly don't like the gameplay, even when it IS going well (like you stated that doing gens, a core mechanic of playing survivor, makes you depressed).
I enjoy playing as survivor and killer (I play both roles, basically playing whichever gives me my bonus so I'd wager I'm damn near a literal 50/50 split between the two roles) so I don't know what it is you want us to say...

With one thing you are absolutly right. BHVR likes to take away things without replacing them with new toys. but they do it on both sides.

I played 4 matches earlier. One was Huntress with a mori that tunneled. 2 were 4Ks with 2 and 3 gens remaining. One was a 3K. Never seen a game as difficult as survivor.

I can agree with you that the game is rough for survivors right now. In an attempt to balance they kind of broke certain things. However, I don’t think it’s so bad that it’s unplayable. A lot of that depends on the other people you’re playing with as well. I main survivor and still have a lot of fun most games.

I hate saying it but don't go into a game as survivor hoping to escape. You'll just end up disappointed.
And I'm not sure what else they could add to make things more interesting for survivors without escape rates plummeting even more. As you experienced, even getting gens done is a chore most games and doesn't happen before everyone is dead. My games are the same.

I think you might just not enjoy survivor. I cant really think of anything on the killer end that just directly makes looping unfun (beyond braindead antiloop). In fact I see more things that enhance gameplay with more options and things to think about in chase. You feel the game is killer sided and I respect your opinion, but you did kind of imply wesker is overpowered. You even said that doing generators, something that makes you win, causes you to feel "depressed". I just dont think you like the core survivor gameplay.

It might be time for you to step away and play something else for a bit if it's got you that down and out if it.
I've been asking myself that same question for the last 4 years only to be answered with them doubling down on the same mistakes, boring and uninspired gameplay, and imo ludicrous nerfs in various instances with no actual long-term solutions readily available.
If I could recommend something to break the cycle, Diablo 4 is the answer. Just roll a class, any class (Sorc/Druid/Necro are mine currently), slaughter everything in sight with no mercy, and you'll be right back at it in no time.
