How come there are like 5 different pride flags in DBD but not one American flag? Really makes you think

I’d love to have an American Flag charm. I was just wondering this earlier today. Many people are prideful of their country, including myself. It would even further allow people to represent themselves to have country flag charms.

I mean sure. I’m no dev or graphic artist, so I don’t know what it would take to add the country flags.
Just at face value, considering BHVR and most of the community likes representation, it would just be another form of representation for the player base. I’d love to rock an American Flag on my hooks.

If they are gonna add all country flags, sure. But if they will add only US flag, i don't think many people will feel happy about it. Includes me.

Because rather than dealing with things head on, people label it as "political" and push it under the rug. "There are no problems if you just ignore them" type of mindset is something you see a lot, it is apart of the human coping mechanism, it's why "escapism" exists.

A very easy example for the minefield that this can be would be Ukraine and Russia.
Then you've got places like China v Tibet. Or Israel v Palestine.
I feel like BHVR would rather not mess with any of it, hence we don't have any country flags in the game

I get that, but I personally don’t think it would do harm. It’s a game, not politics. Nobody is going to get hurt because somebody has a Russian flag on their hooks and a survivor has a Ukrainian flag.
What’s gonna happen? They gonna tunnel them out? Hit them on hook? I don’t even need a flag for that to happen to me. Lol

Just because they add one country flag does not mean that have to add all of them thats just silly. But clearly a large number of dbd players are from the US so why not add a us flag charm? is it really a big deal? I don't have any problem if they add other country flag charms if they want

Personally, I couldn't care less. I wouldn't run any countries flag. I'm just guessing what BHVRs motivation may be considering they don't have them and I don't believe they've ever even commented on it

It's about inclusivity, not exclusivity. Edit: also, this should be quite obvious, but country flags make a game political, which doesn't belong in a game.

Like I know this whole thread is a bait but I'm genuinely curious how is a flag that represents someone's nationality political? You can't control where you're born, just the same as you can't control a lot of other characteristics about yourself. It doesn't stop people being proud of them, right?

They might be to BHVR. I said what I said because the mods have said multiple times the pride flags are not political. But I've yet to see them comment on this subject, so we don't know what BHVR thinks of country flags. They might see them as political or they might not. I'm assuming we'll see

I'm Australian. Where's my Australian flag charm, BHVR (or anything from Australia actually, c'mon guys).
They absolutely do not.
There are seven American killers. That is to say, from the United States in particular. Trapper, Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag, Doctor, Clown and Deathslinger.
Compared to 14 non-Americans (17 if you count the Legion individually). Wraith is Nigerian. Huntress is Russian. Spirit and Oni are Japanese. The Legion are Canadian. Plague is Babylonian. Blight is Scottish. Twins are French. Trickster is South Korean. Artist is Chilean. Knight is Hungarian. Skull Merchant is Brazilian. Dredge and Singularity aren't human or even of Earth.
That means only a third of the Killer roster is from the United States.
