The "Victim Mentality" of DBD...

I really think people kind of ignore this, or brush it under the rug. But as the game has done a lot of shifting in the meta, and various buffs/nerfs happen, Ive noticed this "victim" mentality shift forward.

What exactly do I mean? Im not talking about posts where people explain the balance of things, those are their own separate discussions. Im talking about people who say that BHVR is "clearly biased towards X-side" and how "Y-side constantly is miserable as a result".

But I think people forget that logically, BHVR is a company, they would realistically want to keep and support players for Killer and Survivor. You cant play the game without either side, and a lot of the balance changes they have been making has been trying to remove frustrating elements, for both sides, from the game.

I know someone will probably mention "what about X thing that exists" or "what about X change that BHVR made" and people forget that BHVR is ran by people, no matter how well they try, they are bound to miss the mark sometimes. And instead of trying to play "victim", people should instead focus on providing constructive feedback towards the game to improve areas that they may see as problematic.

You aren't wrong. It's ego. People don't want to work to get better, they want to be the best as soon as possible and when they aren't it's easier to blame everything else but yourself. I'm a Killer main and I try to explain all the time that I do not set out to tunnel someone, but I do see the same survivors in my way over and over. Survivors refuse to take some responsibility for their role in getting tunneled. Most of the time its the same player I see trying to save people. flashlighting me over and over, trying to get me to loop. Survivors who are tunneled most of the time....it's their own fault.
