I miss DBD's ambience.

I started playing in 2020 of July.

From that moment on, what catched my attention quickly was DBD's Art direction, Style and ambience.

It just gave off creepy but also soothing vibes. Sort of Like a Creepy Coma Dream.

The Area also gave off that you just knew that something WAS there, but didnt know what horrific monstrosity it possibly could be.

Which is the first thing i felt when playing on the Old Coldwind Farm map, during my first match against a Hillbilly.

Later on it also grew on me and became my favorite map.

The Other maps like Autohaven were also quite Creepy and to Ormond, i couldn't say much since i got that map only like Five Times? (I didn't play as much as now and people back then liked the Map Offerings as much as today.)

After a while a update then came in and a new map was updated. I was actually excited because i'd like to see what changed but after playing that map for a few times, it just felt, idk, numb?

The Detail was Absoloutely Bashing and the updated Textures too but it just felt like the ambience was somehow completely removed.

Colour Tones, Noises, certain spots, all changed.

I then didn't play as much and after a while of checking the DBD youtube Channel, i heard that my favorite map Coldwind, was being updated too.

I jumped in and was absoloutely astouneded by the Level of Detail, the House itself and everything else yet again.

But the Ambience feels like it has been freshly cut-off like a Tree Branch.

I know that the old Maps sucked when it came to Lightening, certain bugs and unfair spots.

And especially haven't had much detail and muddy textures.

But the Creepy Vibes to me, were just on spot.

The New Maps are astounding in detail, but when it comes to Horror, it just falls off a cliff.

At least to me.
