dramatic title for funny but its hilarious to see this post by netflix geeked get bombarded by DBD fans fighting the good fight to get ST back into the game. Hopefully they get the message haha, no way they did not see it now!

I mean, of all things Roblox seems like such a strange place to start this up again? DbD makes far more sense.
Netflix are a very, very curious bunch. Dead set in their ways, though what actually drives them is beyond anyone’s understanding. Even if it is purely money, they sure play their hands in a very strange way.

I'm so happy so much people collectively came together to raise awareness of how much we want it back. If the DLC comes back I won't even care about cross progression anymore. I just want them back.
Also why did they Collab with Roblox? 😭

Who knows, maybe one of the upcoming chapters will be a Stranger Things chapter with Vecna as the killer, and for survivors we’d get (Shirtless)Billy, Eddie, Robin, Hopper, Joyce and Murray as survivors/legendaries? Maybe a new scorched Demopup cosmetic.

Netflix management is by and large still people who are steeped in the business teachings of traditional media. It's about money and also about conversion metrics and control.
Stranger Things being in dbd can satisfy the money aspect, but probably not the conversion metrics and control. I don't think a lot of people who play DBD are more likely to get on netflix and watch Stranger Things just because they saw some characters in DBD. Roblox on the other hand is far larger than DBD and it's a platform that is more likely to have it's overall younger player base actually turn on the family netflix account to watch the show. The control part is that Netflix wants mainstream appeal for their originals and DBD while massively popular in horror circles isn't as widespread as say Roblox and Fortnite. Get the hooks into the kids and all without having to pay extra likeness licensing fees to actors and probably having to contribute far less financially to the collab as well.

Don't you get it? It's probably just a huge meme fest to them. Every once in a while they'll produce an amazing series, then follow up with a bunch of crap nobody watches, do a crossover with DBD jut to pull out again and have good laugh about it.

Even if they did something similar to what they're doing with Smite where they only have the licence available temporarily followed by a year or so of absence before returning, it's still preferable to it never returning again. Idc if they ended up pulling out after every contract expires and then they renegotiate it a year or so later because then the content returns and there'll be a precedent for it doing so, I just want them to actually bring it back first.

They already did, just look at Skull Merchant's ultra rare release cosmetic and the overreaction some of the people had to it lol.

Also let's not forget that sexual appeal or just sex in general have been part of horror movies or rather the horror genre in general for the past 40-50 years now.
There is nothing to suggest that there is anything in dbd that doesn't fit within the horror genre as the horny, comedic, campy and unconventional is just as much part of it as the serious and conventional is, even LGBTQ has been part of horror ever since the 80's or more.
People who call any of what i just mentioned above for not horror are either not actually horror fans themselves or they're just gatekeepers because they think what's scary or not to them personally determines what is or isn't considered horror, which is complete bogus since scary and horror are related to one another but they're not the same thing, scary is personal while horror is a general concept that not one person determines alone purely by their preference.

For real! Feels like no matter what they do, they will get fallout. A damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I say this because when Adriana came out and had that cool fashiony outfit (pictured below) people say it was too much. Which, what, no? It was such a overreaction, not to mention this was just after the knights chapter where Vit got a full on hairy chest shirtless skin. After the shirtless Felix bandwagon was in full blast. The hate against women wearing more loose and less clad clothing in the game is not just hate, its also super hypocritical.
She was showing her leg and somehow its too much sex appeal for dbd players :/
