How many killers do you enjoy playing?
This isn’t necessarily a question about viability or where they rank on a tier list (but of course those factors may influence your enjoyment)- it’s how many killers do you have in constant rotation and have fun with, whether you win, lose or draw. With the killer roster at 30+ characters I’m interested to see how many of those you guys actually enjoy playing as or whether you have really strict mains.
I’m seeing a lot of posts across DBD social media concerning Wesker’s almost omnipresence in matches in contrast with questions regarding “why does nobody play x killer”, with ‘x’ currently seeming to be singularity at the moment. So I wanted to see what killers people do enjoy playing and how much variety there is.
Killers I always seem to have fun with are Spirit, Slinger, Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Pinhead, Wesker and Knight. I would add on that I can have good fun with Billy, Myers, Sadako and Dredge but this is more dependent on other factors. With the others I have fun almost all of the time, even losing.

Favorites - Pig, Myers, Freddy(big NOES fan), Sadako, Wesker(yes it's annoying to face him so often but he is fun to play and I'm also a big RE fan).
Also fun - Nemesis, Clown, Plague, Trapper, Pinhead.
Not fun - Nurse, Hillbilly(though i may try to get good with him someday), Huntress
Any1 else I either don't have or they are somewhere in the middle.

I play as 6 killers in my core rotation
Trapper (main) Oni (favourite) Myers, Doctor, Clown & Bubba (non camping)
Occassionally play & have a bit of fun with plague & trickster too.
Freddy was a part of my core 7 but when he was changed like many others I dropped him very quickly.
As a side note I do own every killer & survivor but only really play others for achievements or daily challenges.

I will play and rotate through most of the killers. There are a couple that I refuse to play and probably another two or three that I'll only play if they have a daily or a tome challenge I need to complete. Aside from that, I can have fun with the vast majority of the killer roster.

Doctor is the most fun killer for me, followed by Wesker, Legion, Nurse, Nemesis and Oni. I want to like Trapper and Dredge, but getting stomped makes them unenjoyable (it will be worse soon).

Favorites: Hag, Trapper I really like trapping killers but both are in a bad state and weak I would say. Hag very overrated even Michi play her less after her nerf and MFT meta.
If I want a normal "chase" game I go with Clown, Knight, Dredge as I like the characters..mostly Dredge he is super cute. Dredge is also my favorite killer to go against as survivor I love nightfall.

I only play two, Demo and Wraith. I've tried a few others (Nurse, Huntress, and Legion) but don't think they're for me. I plan to try Spirit next and I wouldn't mind trying Hag.

I only play Blight and Hillbilly, mobility killers will always be the funnest to play imo

Demogorgon, Dredge, Huntress, PH, Trapper, Doctor.
I also used to have fun with Legion (they were my first killer) but now I get bored with them.

The Wraith is my favorite. Simple and effective (to a point). Then dredge, knight, freddy, and ghostface in no particular order.

My top 3 Nemmy, Sadako and Wesker. Nurse, Clown and Legion are close. Lately i am playing Pig too and i found her pretty fun as well.

For me it's trickster, knight, clown and doctor for fun because I really don't care about winning.
Also huntress and sadako can be fun.
But ghost face is my absolute favourite.
Currently trying to get better with triangle heid (aka the executioner).

I find 7/32 killers that are worth playing most of the time.
Wesker, Pinhead, Ghost Face, Legion, Spirit, Cannibal, Wraith.
I find every other killer way too frustrating to play sadly. I really wish i enjoyed playing more killers, especially the last three new ones, but they just do not feel worth the frustration at all.

I play and enjoy mostly every killer. There are killers I don't really like (Ghost Face), I don't enjoy as much as others (Hag, Bubba), or can be extremely frustrating sometimes (Pig, Oni, Blight). The only killers I don't own are The Skull Merchant and Demogorgon.

I like playing quite a few of them because each has their own skill and difficulty setting. It's especially satisfying when playing a lower tier killer and beating a strong team! Anyway, the killers I enjoy more than most are:
Trapper, Hillbilly, Shape, Plague, Oni, Deathslinger, Executioner, Artist, Onryō, Dredge, Knight, Singularity

That would depend on the survivors I queue into. If the survivors actually allow a fun and enjoyable match to happen then I can have fun playing just about any killer. Against a team of extraordinarily toxic survivors there isn't a killer in the game that is going to magically make the game fun.

I am a Mikey main so he's my all time favourite. I also enjoy from time to time Clown, Wraith, Pig, Plague, Pyramid Head, and Dredge.
Killers I find ok to play for like a daily or something are Legion, Trapper, Doctor, Freddy, Nemesis, Onyro and Bubba.
The rest I am not great with or just don't enjoy at all.

Honorable mentions: Trapper, Wraith, Hag, Wesker, Oni, Knight.
I like Pyramid Head and Nemesis but I have issues with both. Pyramid Head feels clunky after the nerfs and Nemesis is just kind of dull.
I did buy Singularity because I wanted to play a robot killer but he requires a lot of work to get going.
The rest I'm either terrible with or just skipped entirely.

I legitimately play everyone. I have a wheel I soin to decide what killer I play. I funnel a few webs into them, make a semi-off meta build and see how it plays out. Then rinse repeat. Who cares if I lose? Gives me more knowledge in the long run and makes me flexible

Want them to be my main but I'm bad with them: Nemesis and Singularity
Though, my playstyle is very varied. I swap killers every round and rarely go on long play streaks with 1 singular killer.

We enjoy playing everyone sans bender (singularity) as we like the variety, though top 3 are Artist, Pyramidhead, and Ghost face. When we get bored we even use a randomizer to see who we play.

I play quite many of them. Wraith, oni, bubba, nemesis, wesker, demogorgon, myers, legion, ghostface, spirit and nurse belong to my selection. My mains are now wraith, oni and bubba.

I don't play killer often but the killers I enjoy are Artist, Plague, Pyramid Head.
I'd probably also find Wesker fun.

I play a decent variety - Wesker, Blight, Wraith & Bubba being my favorites. I also really enjoy playing SM Myers or Tombstone.
I'm thinkin of trying more Oni since I love his lore and kit overall, I just know he isn't the easiest. I've only played him once and I did 3k in that match but I never stuck on him for some reason.

I play everyone except Trickster, Billy, Nurse, Hag, Twins and Dull Merchant.
Trickster is unplayable on Console.
Nurse makes me motion sick.
Hag is not my style of Killer.
Billy isn't fun anymore.
Twins are agonizing.
Dull Merchant needs to be removed.

Killers I sometimes get a kick from: Slinger, Trickster, Oni

High mobility killers are always the most fun. Blight, oni, Wesker are my most played.
But I play all killers except knight, SM, twins, and Hag.

I could play others but these are my go to.

I am willing to play any killer. Seeing the prestige levels post rework really shows who I choose to play more often though.

3 or 4. Just got into leatherfa mce recenlywhich brought it up to 4. Most of the killers need an update badly but the devs buff and nerf based off of New player experience lol

Trapper and Myers top the list.
Leatherface, Clown, Doc and Spirit, are a close second
Freddy, Wraith, Nurse, Huntress, Deathslinger, Ghostface, Oni and plague all have a once in a while vibe to them maybe 1-2 games now and then.
I used to play a lot of hag but she's kinda dropped off the radar. Probably throw her in with Freddy and crew in the once in a while collection.
Consider all of the above fun to play.
I can't steer Billy to save myself so he's usually out (also the roar is just silly) and find blight kinda dumb to use.
I played around 43 games of AFK pig when it was a thing, as I had about 43 of the required addons. Haven't played her since they patched it out (I'm not a big fan of saw anyway).
I own a smattering collection of the rest but haven't really given them much game time, either their mechanics aren't great or they released at a time when I was playing other things meaning I got them but didn't really invest any time in them, I do like the onryo though haven't played her much at all.
Never bothered to buy trickster, pinhead, mastermind, skull merchant or singularity really no interest in any of them. Maybe pinhead for the 80's horror vibe, but the Hellraiser films are pretty lame even by 80-90's horror standards.

I have hundreds of hours on each killer except SM and Singu so I will ignore these two. I have always played every killer but if I for whatever reason could only play with 5 this is how that would look. Love me some m1 killers AND WESKER. I will leave him off though for some variety.
- Freddy - Huge NoES fan and he is the reason I even installed DBD. Really wish they would give him the attention he deserves instead of half-cocked not thought out number changes.
- Pig - I don't know what comes over me when I play Pig but the game just flows perfectly through my brain using her. It takes a damn solid team to keep me from killing at least 3 with Pig.
- Clown - There is not an M1 killer on my list that I can down you faster with than Clown. Brutal never leaves any of my Clown builds.
- Myers - Stalking, scaring, insta-downing, gameplay changing add-ons, etc what's not to love.
- Onryo - My highest prestige killer but not knowing the state she will be soon she could fall from this spot. If so it's a tie between Ghostface/Trapper.

I feel the exact same way with Pig. I don’t know why but I swear I have nasty mind games and chase enders when playing her that for some reason I can’t pull off with other m1 killers

Killers I sometimes enjoy, just outside of my regular rotation: Pig, Legion, GF
Killers I would play, but I suck with them because controller: Billy, Oni
Killers I never play, not even for a daily: Nurse, Blight, Skull Merchant.
The rest I'll use for dailies or on rare occasion when the whim strikes.

I actually enjoy all of them for one reason or another... and I know it sounds like a non-answer, but I'm serious! I keep a fairly robust rotation! The only one I don't play often (and need to, tbh) is Hillbilly, 7 years and I am still potato chainsaw champ of the Fog lol
Recents: Singularity (don't know why but Hux is fun on the bun for me), Demogorgon (dailies), Twins, Knight, Onryo (a lot of dailies for Onryo lately), Wraith, Trapper, and the newest addition to the rotation: Pyramid Head (a little special thanks to GoodBoyKaru's guides)!
Played quite a bit recently: Nurse (dailies), Skull Merchant (she's also one I enjoy for reasons unknown to me lol), Legion, Artist, Hag, Dredge, Plague, Deathslinger, Oni, Ghost Face, Myers, Huntress (learning to throw hatchets to longer distances, dailies/achievements), Pig, Doctor, Pinhead.
Haven't played much of late (100% just fell out of rotation; not a conscious dislike or avoidance): Spirit (not sure why I haven't played her of late... might be on the docket tonight), Blight (my old fave, now I'm soooo rusty with him), Wesker, Clown, Leatherface (VERY rusty with), Freddy, and Trickster (also rusty).
I think I might dedicate this weekend to de-rusting a few on this latter list, I'm feeling the Killer itch! 🔪

I basically only find twins fun. Tried so many other killers and none have ever clicked

Thought I'd just mention how much I'm playing every killer and what I think of em in general.
Trapper: I play him every once and then. One of my weaker killers but I love it when plans come together. Grade: C
Wraith: Mained him for a while but I got tired of his simplicity eventually. I'll play him sometimes. Grade: C
Hillbilly: Not the strongest but I have a soft spot for him. He's the first killer I played and I will come back to him out of nostalgia and hoping to further hone my craft. Grade: B
Nurse: Will only play her for dailies. Her Fatigue mechanic which forces her to look down so often disorients and annoys me. Nothing's more miserable than picking Nurse and doing bad. Grade: D
Shape: Will play him once in a while. Definitely weaker than the typical M1 killer but Tier 3 can be a fun diversion enough to go back to him. Or do jumpscares. Grade: C
Hag: Will only play for dailies or even skip them altogether if in a bad mood. I'll enjoy Hag on indoors maps but otherwise, I hate playing her. Her playstyle is just meh. Grade: D
Doctor: One of my favorite M1 killers. His add-on system makes it hard to get bored of him. Plus I like making people scream. Grade: A
Huntress: Bad at this killer but I'm willing to improve. Started to play her a fair amount lately and will continue to come back. Grade: B
Cannibal: A little too mindless for my taste. Fun to cut people to ribbons but as weird as it sounds, I prefer Hillbilly. I usually play him if my brain feels like switching off. Grade: C
Nightmare: I hate his Dream World filter and I hate how weak and unfulfilling he got as a killer. Will only play for dailies since his is easy to do. Grade: D
Pig: I hate Ambush Dash so much. By far the worst special attack in the whole game. Her stealth is bad and I swear I'll always forget to put funny hats on survivors at times. Also has one of the worst dailies. Pass all the way. Grade: F
Clown: I love this guy's enthusiasm and attitude. He might be weak, but it makes it even better to shred survivors to bits as him. One of the characters I'd dare call a Main. Grade: A
Spirit: She's strong and all but I can't track survivors with sound alone. I suck as her and I usually do poorly. Will only play when dailies arise (and I often need multiple games to do it!) Grade: D
Legion: Meh. I don't care much for the edgy teens. Power is fun when you can get a down from it, but I otherwise don't care for them. Will play for dailies. Grade: D
Plague: Puking on survivors is always fun for my third grader mentality. Grade: B
Ghost Face: My go to character to do all these Undetectable and Exposed hit challenges. A well designed character that I like returning to. Grade: B
Demogorgon: One of the game's most interesting killers in my opinion. I play it very often. Grade: A
Oni: I just don't get it. I like Hillbilly and I feel like I should like this killer too because they share a similar dynamic in power, but it just doesn't click. Will play once in a while out of curiosity that I will eventually get it. Grade: C
Deathslinger: Similar scenario to Huntress but I like him a little less. Grade: C
Executionner: Probably my most-played killer in general. Out of all killers, this might be my current favorite. You gotta respect the killer who can mori all survivors without using any addons or perks. Grade: A
Blight: I like being a pinball. I'm not good at it, but I certainly will try time and time again. Grade: B
Twins: Too clunky to play. The constant switching between characters is not worth the end payoff. Will only play for dailies or skip them altogether because I don't like downing survivors as Victor. Grade: D
Trickster: I'm a fan of his trial demeanor. His sinister giggling as he chases survivors is infectious. He's trying his best and I will definitely play him a few. Grade: B
Nemesis: Used to like him, but I feel he's super underpowered nowadays. I do like his overall trial presence with the loud, slow stomping sounds. I will play him every once in a while just to see if the zombies will actually help out or not, they're always good for a laugh. Grade: C
Cenobite: I'll always giggle when he talks about his box. Definitely grown on me ever since they added voice lines to him. Among my most played characters now. Grade: A
Artist: Her power is a little too boring and clunky to use. Not a huge fan of the daily either. At least her visual design and caws are cool, so she gets a passing grade. Grade: D
Onryo: Weak, but fun to play. Dunno how things will go with her when rework time comes, but I like teleporting around and being stealthy all around. Plus her mori animation is cool. Grade: B
Dredge: I like his concept, power, looks and about everything about him. But I hate facing him as survivor because of Nightfall, everything becomes sickeningly dark. Due to this caveat, I don't like playing him much in case the players I go against are just like me. Grade: C
Wesker: He's so fun to play as. Picking up survivors and throwing them against walls will never get old. Grade: A
Knight: This poor guy never got the love he deserved. I love him and the many things you can accomplish with guards. You finally can multitask in this game! Grade: A
Skull Merchant: PASS. Her power is boring, leads to boring games and is way too passive for its own good. Grade: F
Singularity: Power is a bit on the clunky side and killer is very hard to get into. I perserve time and time again and the more I play him, the more I want to keep playing as him. Grade: B

I'll categorize killers in my rotation, however, category 1 will directly answer the prompt.
Category 1 - Always Fun Favorites/Always in rotation: Demo, Knight, Twins, Artist
Category 2 - Fun Playstyle, weak outcome (thus lower frequency in rotation): Ghostface, Dredge, Skull Merchant, Pig
Category 3 Fun b/c Strong, but playstyle is ok: Blight, Wesker, Hag
Category 4 - Never played, so even if they are fun I wouldn't know it: Huntress, Spirit, Myers, Freddy
Category 5 - Don't play due too little practice: Pinhead, Nemesis, Pyramid Head
***Newest killer always has a slot in rotation as it finds its category. Singularity, at the moment, is quickly movie from category 2 to 5.

I like playing Pinhead, Oni, Artist, Spirit, Knight, Ghostface, Myers, Pyramid head and Pig.
No particular order, just my most played killers. Pinhead, Oni and GF are my most played lately.
I used to play nurse a lot, then blight for months but I got really bored of them for how easy (or at least much easier) game experience they provide.
I also liked Wesker for some time, but got bored of him simply for how often I see him as survivor. He is still fun tho

My Main is Artist, love the theme and playstyle. Followed by Dredge as a second main, then switch it up between Knight and Plague on the regular. Everyone else i find either too boring or frustrating in terms of power usage, does not work reliably on console or just plain don't like.

Trapper, Nurse, Spirit, Trickster, Cenobite, Freddy, Bubba, Deathslinger, Hag, Clown, Pyramid Head, Wesker, Myers, Ghostface, Plague, Demo.
I'm most proficient with Nurse, Spirit, Plague, and Hag. I play most of the roster though.
