heya, im getting bored by annoying lil' cheater survivors who fly around the map, walk on top of the shack and blind me from anywhere on the map, i was literally held hostage by this cheater for like 20 minutes after everyone's but them was dead

first of all, hooked a survivor, she literally grabbed them on the hook, didnt unhook them but got them stuck in the unhooking "progress bar state " where they dont die on the hook, but nobody can unhook them either, so she basically held the survivors hostage and they had to leave and eat dc penalty

so why cant we make it so that when ur on hook, you die in like 5 minutes no matter what and why cant we make it so that when ur blinded for like 40 seconds in a row by the same source, ur immune to getting blinded for the rest of the game, cuz clearly its a cheater at that point right XDDDDDD

thats literally what happens to me like 3 - 4 times in a week lately... and imma getting quiete annoyed at this point after suffering those cheaters for ~7 years lulw, u report them, they get banned but they just do it again on another cheap account

This week had a game against a speed and blind hacker as well, but I had Lightborn equipped. So I could see their aura from where they tried to blind and where they zoomed off to. This gave me some interesting observations:

    • Being blinded consists of two things: The visual effect and an audio cue, that the blind was successful. When you have Lightborn, both effects are prevented against regular players trying to blind you. But against the hacker, they still were able to produce the audio cue against me, and I could confirm that their flashlight beam worked exactly like a normal flashlight works against a killer without Lightborn: beam getting steadily smaller, until the blinds succeeds and the beam gets ultra wide for a split second to indicate the successful blind. I guess the hacker even got a proper killer-blinded score event from that, even though I could still see everything.

    • Since it's not possible for a regular player to blind a killer with Lightborn, but the hacker did, I'm assuming that:
      • The hacker used a flashlight with abnormally high stats (near unlimited power and duration), not suprising for a hacker
      • Lightborn likely just increases the resistance to blinds to an absurdely high value, instead of outright making it impossible.
      • So when the blinding hack and Lightborn collide, the hacked flashlight is powerful enough to overcome the extremely high resistence in a matter of seconds.
      • With a normal flashlight, the same might also be possible, but likely only when holding the flashlight for MUCH longer - I guess something around minutes or even hours. Of course a normal flashlight runs out way before that.
    • The hacker did not have to shine directly at me to trigger the (partial) blinding. When they ran away from me, the Lightborn aura showed me that the hacker was shining to their left into the corn, I was at least 20 meter away from that, but still the (partial) blinding got through. I'm assuming their flashlight also had an ultra wide angle, possibly something like 180 degrees, so everthing before the hacker could be blinded. I'm fairly certain they were not able to blind from ANY direction, bc they would not have to face into the level (the corn) for the blind to succeed. They have at least to shine in your general direction, it seems.

    • At the beginning of the trial, I was destroying a breakable wall, and got the blinded audio cue all of a sudden. I did not know what happened at first. But than the hacker appeared, got hit once, and zoomed off again. I could still see him due to the Lightborn aura, so I knew that he blinded me at the beginning. But since he came from behind, I'm assuming that the killer could blind me from behind as well, even when I was not looking in their direction. If thats the case, It's some kind of evolution from my last encounter with a blinding hacker (some years ago). Back then, I was able to pick up other survivors at the edge of the map facing the border to not being flash sniped. With this hacker, I'm not so sure whether that would have helped.

Unlucky or bad MMR range? I did not encounter a hacker for ages until the one recently (at least no obvious one).

you just in a bad mmr range, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a cheater playing killer since my mmr is so high, cheaters won’t make it long on accounts so they’re always stuck trolling low level killers
