Which side is taking the match hostage?
If you have a bot in the match and the killer refuses to kill it and just chases it off generators and kicks them, but the only other remaining survivor who is a player refuses to do gens or totems and hides for 30+ minutes straight, who took the match hostage?

They're both choosing to drag the game out in the name of greed. If at any point either of them get fed up, they have the option to end it by giving in. The fact that neither of them do, means they're not fed up, and they're willing participants.
They're just too stubborn. Killer doesn't want to settle for a 3K. Survivor doesn't want to risk dying while a bot gets the hatch.
To be fair, the latter definitely sounds more insulting.

This post remind me the old hatch days. Where killer and the last survivor were standing on the hatch and waiting for each other. When both of them were greedy, it would take a hour maybe to finish hatch fight.

This, among other things, is why I was strongly opposed to adding bots to the game. I don't want to play with or against bots. I want the game to end ASAP.

i have had several problems with bots since launch and I think adding them was a mistake. Id rather have one less player and let the game end naturally. Than having bots running in circles and acting erratically.
I hate survivor bots for the same reason I hate the Knight as a concept: I dont wanna play with or against a machine.
Also, both the killer and the surv deserve to waste those 30+ min. both lil Bs tbh

I was thinking the same thing. I remember hearing about a streamer being in a hatch standoff for an ungodly amount of time (I think like 14 hours). Eventually he won...and the survivor had the nerve to call him sweaty like he wasn't equally involved.

But i am glad this hatch standing thing gone. It was so stupid. Current hatch is fair and good way to end match.

For sure. Back in the day I use to get kinda salty about hatch. It spawning while there's still survivors around would lead to cases with survivors more or less giving up and camping hatch while hoping their teammates would get caught. Now... it doesn't spawn before you can jump in it, so it feels fair. It's not the cases of survivors jumping in hatch the moment I kill their teammate on hook. Slugging the 3rd to find the 4th was so much more common back then.

Lolol! I never gave this some thought, but yeah! Bots can now definitely take a hatch that could have been a players escape route. How delicious.

That was not only problem. When you kill one survivor while 1 gen left, it was free 3 - man escape if one of them had key.
Current hatch is fair. I am glad devs fixed hatch issues.
