Accused of cheating
(Forgive me if this is in the wrong place. This is my first post.)
I had one peculiar match yesterday as killer; a couple of the survivors in endgame chat called me a cheater and accused me of speedhacks. I got a little upset with them, since there's absolutely nothing to gain from cheating in this game, much less any game. I told them to report me if they believe that, as I have nothing to fear since I didn't cheat, but after leaving the endgame chat I couldn't help but have this suspicious feeling from one of the survivors at endgame. I didn't pay any mind to it initially, but I'm pretty sure they were cheating themselves subtly, and perhaps with their friend.
For clarification, the first two chases I had with them in the match weren't suspicious at all, and it only during endgame that I had this weird feeling. They were a private profile/in anonymous mode and weren't using Hope, as I assumed since no matter what I did I wasn't catching up to them even with bloodlust. They also didn't have MFT or Resilience not that I landed a hit on them anyways. They only had Adrenaline, which only lasts for a few seconds and the chase lasted for maybe 45 seconds to 1 minute before they made it to the exit gate. It could just be on account of playing poorly. I can't say for certain. If only I recorded would I be able to get proof from the community, which I now regret a little bit.
Maybe it is naiive thinking on my end, but I thought most of the cheaters were gone from this game so I really hope I'm wrong that I was playing with a cheater (or potentially two).
So my questions are: do you think it's worth recording my games from now on as killer? I only started playing a lot of killer as of late, so I wanted to know if other people do it and if they find it worth doing in case they need to report someone later.
Do private profiles get banned if they are cheating? I hope by going anonymous this isn't a way for them to protect themselves.
Also another question I had was, do people here lobby dodge when they see private profiles? I never cared to as survivor, but maybe it's worth to actually dodge if playing killer?
And lastly, has anyone else been accused of cheating while playing killer or survivor?

I used to often be accused of cheating. It used to stress me out the thought of getting banned from my favourite game. I soon realised too many people just accuse everyone of cheating. They are salty, or don't understand that I have ears or don't understand perks.
Switching to a private profile, switching off chat and not engaging streamers is a good idea.
So no, I wouldn't dodge private profiles.

Private profiles are usually private to hide the hours they have in the game. When I switched from PS5 to PC, I had to make mine private so people wouldn't lobby dodge 24/7. It's understandable why they did it though.
Private profiles can get banned for cheating, you just have to make sure you report them in-game and also submit a request on the official page.
You shouldn't record your killer games. You won't go up against a hacker too often and the amount of storage the videos take up is insane. BHVR won't ban 'cheaters' without video evidence however. It's your choice.
