Since When Was This Made Free? (Possibly Not Actually Free)
Since when were the Left4Dead Shirts made free?
Tbh, I havent touched the game too much since the last half of the Anniversary (server issues and performance prevented me from playing) and when getting on DBD recently, I noticed that I had these shirts unlocked.
I also heard rumors that other cosmetics may have also been made free however people might not receive them yet due to bugs or unexpected issues.
Part of me things this might be done to reduce account stealing, scamming, and reselling by done shady companies/websites, which is an issue for almost every game. But of course, this might just be me jumping to conclusions and I have no other idea as to why they may be doing this.

Those shirts have been there since i started playing, which was right after the All-Kill chapter came out. I think they are free and included in the steam version. I do own L4D2 on steam though.

It could be something you get for buying Left 4 Dead.
I recently bought the Complete Valve Collection, which contains Left 4 Dead. I got a bunch of stuff for TF2 but it is possible that I got some stuff for DBD just for owning the game.

I knew there were black versions of the shirts, I just never knew how you got them.
Honestly, the shirts are pretty good, they have that classic DBD feel to them.
