Should i resort to lower tactics?
Im a trapper main but recently all ive been getting is hardcore sweats with my mmr. I have 2 playstyles varying on my traps and quite honestly against sweats like these by default they always dodge my traps or dodge the loop and i get bare minimum value
i could resort to tunneling,camping,slugging,exc while im in these high mmrs so i stand a chance,yet then again i also main survivor so ik how it feels. Whar should i doo

trapper is weak. do whatever you have to.
which on him mostly means defend your 3 gen and or basement.
at least if you wanna win with some consistency.

Unless you're actively harassing a sole player for a malicious reason, then there's no wrong or incorrect way to play the game, trapper is the worst killer in the game (imo) even though he is dbd's poster boy.
However instead of asking "will this give me a better fighting chance" ask yourself "Will this make the game more fun for me" tunneling and camping have always been a part of the game, and will remain so indefinitely. You come off as a decent person who cares about others fun, however try not to sabotage your own fun in the process, moat will get upset yes, but a game or two later moat people will realise "eh, Dwight was hooked next to a 3 gen"

I've a lot of hours with trapper and he's only viable at high mmr if you run trapper sack with honing stone or double iri. With those add ons dont even try to hide the traps just put them in most problematic loops.

Honestly, if you feel you've hit a wall and don't want to resort to tactics you won't have fun with, lose. Lose a lot. Chase some peeps around but let them all go in the end. Tank your MMR till you get to a comfortable level where you can have a fun game without sweating your ass off. I did it a year ago and haven't looked back. I win when I need/want to, but in a lot of games I also let everyone out after having some fun to keep my MMR in the sweet spot.

Play the way you enjoy most, depending on how each trial seems to be going. If you're against really strong survivors and just want to learn, play as you do or experiment. If your aim is to win at all costs, play with any amount of sweaty tactics you like - there is no wrong way.
Remember that sweat makes more sweat, so don't be surprised if playing harder creates even more nightmarish tactics from your opponents.

There are no "lower tactics". Tunneling and camping are valid and acceptable strategies. You aren't toxic for employing them.

I recommend switching to hag and 4 genning can't doge traps in chase and you allways have your traps

Well, here is as i see it.
IF you change your style to camping and tunneling, you surly will get results and wins. However, you will get only more pairings against those type of players, so soon you might need to camp and tunnel, or you cant keep up.
Alternative, you can just keep up playing like you do and take some losses. However, you then should establish a skill level where you will win roughly around 60% of your matches.
The main question is: Do you enjoy the camping and tunneling style? As you said yourself, survivors dont. At least you will give them a good match, even if you lose. But it will also be a good match if you win.
Tunneling and camping seldom leads to good matches, mostly they turn boring pretty early, when the first guy is rushed out. Survivors compensate by genrushing, which doesnt make it more enjoyable.
I used to be a survior main, but i play at least 50/50, if not more killer than survivor. My experience is, that against the good swf, even tunneling and camping might not win you the match. I do it sometimes, mostly if the survivors annoy me on purpose.
IF they dont, i usually take a loss if they are good enough. Since i win a lot of my matches anyway, the balance has to come from somewhere.
IT comes down to: how badly do you want to win.

no such thing as lower tactics imo. play the way you find fun or for you is the easiest means to win.

Just play however you do well. If you want to be nice, let the last 1 or 2 survs go perhaps. If you play nice early survivors will just take advantage.
Like played yesterday and downed someone on their way out of basement after being unhooked, they were first hook, i downed them, looked at basement, shooky head and left them so they didn't feel too tunneled. They sweated the rest of the game and they got 4 out with only 3 hooks. A good adrenaline play stopped me from forcing a face camp stand off to get more hooks at the end.
Wait until you have control of the game by any means necessary, then you can play nice. Plus trapper is pretty weak so yh, he needs tontunnel a bit if the survs are decent at counterplaying bear traps.
