Why do you not get any chance to escapes hooks if you are the last person?

This annoys me so much if I'm running deliverence and it is activated. Does anyone know the reason?

if you have deliverance, go take a hook stage for someone else before everyone is dead.
at that point the game is already over. no reason to waste time.
because the killer, would just leave you to bleed out on the ground if you had a chance to make a run for it after escaping the hook

People used to just hang on the hook instead of trying to get off. So wasted 1 minute of both players time.
At least that's been my assumption for why they pulled the chance to unhook if you were the only survivor left.

No it’s not. The self hook chance when you are last survivor was changed years ago. Basekit BT was just added to the game this year.

Because it just unnecessarily prolongs the game. You're unlikely to get far.

Trial's over/waste of time.
I would agree that the last person should be compensated with the equivalent amount of struggle BPs.

Because,
A) The survivor, if they chose to do so, could just hang on the hook doing nothing for the entire first phase, unnecessarily wasting a full minute of the killer's time when the game is already over.
B) The killer, knowing that the last survivor has a chance to pull themselves off, would have no reason to leave the hook, making the survivor pulling unhooking themselves a waste of time for both parties when they inevitably get slapped down and rehooked seconds later.
C) It would be a guaranteed free escape if next to an open exit gate because of unhooking endurance applying to self unhooks, completely cheating the killer out of their fair and well earned kill.
